Drs. Ngo Trinh Tung and Thai Hoang from Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), Hanoi, Vietnam on April 2, professor Bolormaa Oyuntsetseg  from the National University of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on April 11, and professor Yuji Higaki from Oita University, Japan on May 9, 2024 visited and gave seminars.  

Profs. Yuma Morimitsu and Keiji Tanaka from Kyushu University on Nov. 9, and prof. Sheng-Sheng Yu from the National Cheng Kung University on Nov. 16, 2023, gave department seminars.  

PSK (Polymer Society of Korea) Fall Meeting was held on Oct. 11-14, 2023 at ICC, Jeju Island, and KCS (Korean Chemical Society) was held on Oct. 25-27, 2023 at Gwangju Kim Daejung Convention Center. 

On Oct. 10, 2023, professors Rusli Daik and Hook-Wai Phang from Malaysia and Dr. Anna Sokolova from ANSTO, Australia, visited and gave a special lecture. 

On July 14, 2023, five professors majoring in polymer at Hanyang University were invited to hold a workshop. Prof. Jeong Jae Wie from Org&NanoE, prof. Jaeyoung Jang from EnergyE, prof. Bongjun Yeom from ChemE, prof. Hyosung Choi and prof. Hongseok Yun from Chemistry made the presentation. 

The RICBS workshop was held on May 20 (Sat.), 2023. Five speakers, Joohuei Shin (Amorepacific), Jeongwook Lee (Daewon Pharmaceutical), Jungyoon Yang (Samsung SDI), Sung Jin Park (ONEGENE), Jinwoo Choi (Daewoong Pharmaceutical), presented recent research trends in companies.   

Dr. Phan Trung Nghia (HUST) and prof. Van-Duong Dao (Phenikaa Univ.) visited and gave special seminars on April 4, 2023. And prof. Kohzo Ito (Univ. Tokyo) and prof. Keiji Tanaka (Kyushu Univ.) visited and gave special seminars on April 8, 2023.  

Department seminar, Prof Daisuke Kawaguchi from the Department of Applied Chemistry, Kyushu University, entitled, "Effects of Interfacial Structure and Physical Properties on Functions in Polymer Thin Films," was held on March 9. Prof. Kwang-Un Jeong from Jeonbuk National University also gave a seminar, entitled "Advanced Liquid Crystal Polymer Networks from Programed Anisotropic Reaction Mesogens, on March 16, 2023.

Ms. Hye Yeon Cho and Ms. Younhee Jeong finished their master's degrees and graduated on Feb. 17, 2023.  Congratulations!!

AsiaNANO 2022 Conference were in BEXCO, Busan on Nov 9 - Nov 11. Mr. N.Q. Nguyen and Mr. A. Patil present posters. 

Dr. Velychkivska from NIMS, Tsukuba, Japan, visited and gave a talk on Oct. 28, 2022. The title of the talk was "Spectroscopic investigation of stimuli-responsive polymer/porphyrin system."

PSK & KCS fall meetings were in Daegu EXCO and Gyeongju HICO on October 5-7 and October 19-21, 2022, respectively. Prof. Sohn hosts the Plenary lecture of Rong-Ming Ho in PSK and graduate students present posters in PSK & KCS.  

The 25th Anniversary of PPCL and Academia-Industry Cooperation Workshop was held in the Natural Science Building B115 on May 14th, 2022. Speakers were from  LG Energy Solution, Henkel, KITECH, Kolon Ind., and Samsung. 

PSK & KCS spring meetings were in Daejeon and Jeju on April 6-8 and April 13-15, respectively. Prof. Sohn presents a plenary lecture in PSK, and Dr. Ryu and graduate students present posters in PSK & KCS.  

The PSK winter workshop was held in Konjiam resort on Jan. 10-11, 2022.  The group members had a retreat after attending the workshop. 

Ms. Ivanna and Mr. Finley from Minerva School at KGI had an internship in our laboratory for a semester in 2021.  There was a farewell party on the campus after the internship program. 

The KCS and PSK national fall meetings were held in Busan and Gyeongju on Oct. 13-15 and Oct. 20-22, 2021. In the pandemic situation, graduate students present posters at the conference. 

Department seminar, Dr. Jaemin Hong from KIST, entitled, "Flexible Electronics: Overview," was held on Sep. 16, 2021, online. 

A farewell party was held for Dr. Quyen, Ms. Jeewon Jeong, (Aug. 30), and Mr. Taehyung Noh (July 20).  Dr. Quyen will be working for KIST-Jeonbuk, and Mr. Noh will be working for Hanwha-QCells.

On June 1st, 2021, members of PPCL toured HYU museum. Prof. Tae-Jeong Kim in physics department explaind the introduction of CERN (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire) and its facilities. 

Department seminar, CEO, Dr. Seoungkyo Yoo from WITHTECH, entitled  "Development of Technology at Small and Medium Company," was held on Apr. 29, 2021, online. 

A farewell party was held to celebrate the end of internship for Ms. Ingrid Habrekke's from Minerva School on April 20, 2021.  And congratulations on Ms. Sooji Park's employment in LG Display. 

The 2021 Lab. New Year's party was held online on Jan. 9, 2021. Alumni from Canada, China, India, Vietnam and USA are attended. 

An event, TGIF CONVERGENCE, was held to promote the convergence of the members of the college of natural sciences  by providing free coffee and donuts for 300 people on October 30 (Fri.), 2020. 

Professor Kolekar's farewell party for a year on the Brainpool program, on June 26, 2020. 

Department seminar of CTO, Dr. Hee-Seok Lim from Toray Advanced Materials Korea, Inc., entitled, "Water Filtration by Membrane," was held on June 11, 2020 by on-line. 

Homecoming at the campus with pizza and coffee on Jan. 11, 2020. Happy hours after 5 presentations from alumni. 

Dr. Jurai Kronek and Dr. Zuzana Kronekova from Polymer Institute SAS, Slovakia, visited and gave a talk and attended the annual meeting of the Polymer Society of Korea on Oct. 7-11, 2019.

Prof. Rong-Ming Ho from National Tsing Hua Univ., Taiwan, visited for the special seminar entitled, "Well-Ordered Nanonetwork Materials from Tempalting of Self-Assembled Block Copolymers for Metameterial Applicaitons," on May 22, 2019.

On Teacher's Day, a reunion of graduates and graduate students was held on May 18 (Sat.), 2019 

Drs Jurai and Zuzana Kronek from Polymer Institute SAS, Slovakia, visited for the cooperative research between Korea and Slovakia during Nov. 5-9, 2018. 

Prof. Keiji Tanaka from Kyushu University visited for the department seminar entitled, "Aggregation States and Dynamics of Polymers at Interfaces, on Nov. 1. 2018.

Prof. Hideyuki Otsuka from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, visited for the department seminar entitled, "Functional Dynamic Polymers with Self-healing and Mechanochromic Properties, on Aug. 1. 2018.
