December 28, 2022: Our lab had a joint workshop with Crop Molecular Physiology and Weed Science (CMPWS) Lab. Hyungsuk and Insu shared our recent works and learned the research progress of CMPWS Lab in 2022.

December 16, 2022: Hyungsuk & Insu made through a tough but exciting week of AGU meeting.

December, 2022: The week of reunion! Hyungsuk had great time with former groups.

December 15, 2022: Insu presented our lab's work at American Geophysical Union (AGU) Fall Meeting 2022 held in Chicago, U.S.

December 8, 2022: Hyungsuk attended the 8th International Weed Science Congress held in Thailand to expand our lab's research domain.

November 23, 2022: We tested a Spectral Evolution leaf clip with our portable hyperspectral system.

October 27, 2022: Hyungsuk gave an oral talk on remote sensing applications in weed science at Korean Society of Weed Science Fall meeting held in Jeju Island, South Korea.

October 15, 2022: Lab members are learning a gas-exchange measurement system, Li-6800.

September 30, 2022: Another trial of the spectral imager. Preliminary results are coming now. Looking forward to the next growing season! 

September 27, 2022: First field trial of the spectral imager on the platform we've built along with our portable spectroscopy system. 

September, 2022: Lab members built a platform for a spectral imager.   With this platform, we'll start collecting data from field crops!

September 6, 2022: Lab members measured the spectral reflectance of rice plants using a spectral imager.

August 4, 2022: Another field campaign in Wanju. Ahyoun joined this time. 

August, 2022: Ahyoun and Min-Gyu joined the lab as a summer intern. Welcome to the lab!

July 28, 2022: Insu and Eunbi collected hyperspectral data from test plots in Wanju under 40°C  real-feel temperature.

July 23, 2022: Insu and Eunbi collected hyperspectral data from rice plants using the portable hyperspectral system that we've built! 

July 22, 2022: Insu and Eunbi visited Prof. Jaehoon Lee's lab and used Li-600PF (LiCOR) to quantify stomatal conductance and fluorescence parameters from rice plants before treatment. 

July 7, 2022: Hyungsuk gave an invited talk at the Dept. of Central Area Crop Science, NICS, Suwon

July 6, 2022: We had our first lab meeting!

July, 2022: Insu and Eunbi joined the lab! Welcome! Insu will get started as the first graduate student in the lab. Eunbi got selected as a 2022 summer undergraduate research fellow at CALS, SNU.

June, 2022: Hyungsuk attended 2022 Korean Society of Breeding Science Conference in Jeju island, South Korea. Great opportunity to learn how to contribute to the community.

May 28, 2022: Hyungsuk participated and learned the transplanting of new breeds by Crop Molecular Breeding Lab (Prof. Koh) at the University Farm in Suwon.  

May 19, 2022: Hyungsuk had a team project meeting at the National Institute of Crop Science, Wanju.

April 28, 2022: Hyungsuk gave an invited talk at the Horticultural Science and Biotechnology Program.

April 22, 2022: Hyungsuk participated and learned the sowing of new breeds by Crop Molecular Breeding Lab (Prof. Koh) at the University Farm in Suwon.  

April 21, 2022: Hyungsuk gave an invited talk at the National Institute of Crop Science, Wanju

March 2, 2022: Hyungsuk gave a talk titled "how can we quantify crop stress?" at the departmental seminar.

March 1, 2022: Hyungsuk started as an assistant professor at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Seoul National University.
