Baja SAE is a Collegiate Design Series competition run by the Society of Automotive Engineers International (SAE International). Teams of students from universities all over the world design and build small off-road cars.
The goal in Baja SAE is to design, build and race off-road vehicles that can withstand the harshest elements of rough terrain. The vehicles used in Baja SAE racing are often similar in appearance to dune buggies.
The Supra event, inspired by the Formula SAE known worldwide, is a National Level Engineering Student Competition where Teams from Engineering Colleges pan India participate. The students not only design the race car, but also build them as per the exact design, safety and performance standards accepted for similar competition.
This is a great platform for aspiring Entrepreneurs, Technocrats, Innovators and Leaders in bringing out the real talent for the Indian Automotive Industry.
A go-kart, is a type of sports car, close wheeled car, open-wheel car or quadracycle. Go-karts come in all shapes and forms, from non-motorised models to high-performance racing karts. Karting is a type of racing in which a compact four-wheel unit called a go-kart is used.
Traditionally, small two-stroke and four-stroke internal combustion engines are used in motorised go-kart racing. Power is transmitted from the engine to the rear axle by way of a chain/belt.
Hybrid Vehicle Challenge is a student formula style hybrid ,electric and combustion vehicle design and manufacturing event, organised by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIEINDIA). The intent of the challenge is to design and fabricate a hybrid/electric/combustion vehicle under ISIEINDIA design regulations.
This educational competition emphasizes drivetrain innovation and fuel efficiency in a high-performance application.
It gives students hands-on experience with the challenges of creating and implementing a wide variety of technologies while being part of an interdisciplinary team.
Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC) is Asia’s largest solar event which was started by Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE, An ISO 9001:2008 & Associate Member of FMSCI and SFI, National Youth Award Winner by Ministry of Youth Affairs, Recommended by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt of India) in year 2013.
The basic objective is to raise awareness among future generation of engineers about renewable energy resources and push them for development in this sector, all of this while making it fun for them. Hence, they are required to build a Solar-Electric vehicle to compete among themselves.
