As a graduate teaching assistant, I have instructed two courses for first year international undergraduates at Penn State of academic writing. It covered extended definition essay, compare & contrast essay of rhetorical devices, and problem-solution essays including annotated bibilography and topic proposal. Students engaged in collaborative and ethical learning by writing drafts, peer-reviews, presenting, and turning in final drafts.

As a graduate teaching assistant, I co-taught senior students at Seoul National University who were preparing for the national teacher's exam to become English teachers. My responsibilities included helping them understand effective strategies for teaching reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Additionally, I assisted them in designing syllabi for their teaching practicum and provided constructive feedback on their teaching practice sessions.

As a graduate teaching assistant, I have attended the class for questions related to the course. I also designed a multimodal poster for the class colloquium on multimodal pedagogies around the world. Students analyzed the poster through multimodal theoretical framework they learned from reading the book Multimodality: A social semiotic approach to contemporary communication by Kress (2009).
Volunteer teacher at two alternative schools for North Korean refugees | Winter 2022, Fall 2023
As a volunteer teacher, I taught multiliteracies as part of English course for North Korean refugee students. For the first school, I designed 6-week course for students to produce digital storytelling of their successful experiences through translanguaging, and presented in front of the classmates. For the second school, I designed 12-week curriculum where learners engaged in translanguaging while reading an identity text and discussing. Also, they produced digital storytelling of their lives in relation to what they read and presented in front of the teachers and classmates.

After passing the national exam to become an English teacher in South Korea in 2016, I have taught at two schools in Seoul, South Korea. My teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusive pedagogy to engage and empower underachieving students. I was honored with a Teaching Excellence Award in the student council sector and have actively promoted the integration of digital technology in English classrooms to enhance learning experiences.
