Today, technological advancements in society have led to the development of robots. The SS Component evaluates the influence this places on society and the global market.
Since the 1960s, people have become accustomed to using technology in their daily lives. In the late twentieth century, many electronic breakthroughs have changed the perspective of the world. This milestone led to the development of innovations. The introduction of robots in today’s society has created opportunities to use them in a way that benefits but also harms society: manufacturing.
Traditional Manufacturing refers to the use of human labor as a means of production. It functions in an assembly line, each designated with one role, and acts repeatedly. However, access to robots has changed the industry and market. Through time, machinery was used to replace their labor since it was more efficient in terms of quantity and cost.
In a social aspect, the integration of robots has created job losses for low-skilled workers. They have proven their worth, and companies prefer to keep their labor needs and expenses to a minimum. For example, Amazon has an arsenal of robots that work to package items and stock inventory. Tesla has also demonstrated the usefulness of robots by using them to assemble parts in a car.
However, it is no doubt that robots have increased the reliability of goods and services to be available. Since most robots are programmed with automation, the quality of goods has also improved and reduces the number of wasted materials from human error. Thus, the growth in productivity has increased the capital of any company using robots. With this expansion of supply, products are sold at lower prices. This also implies that the growth of robot production is increasing. According to the IFR, the sales in robots in 2015 have increased by 15 percent, and a rising annual growth rate of 12 percent from 2016-2019.
In conclusion, the incorporation of robots has caused a new outlook into the future. Today, we are even using robots for space exploration into Mars. With that, it has disadvantages to the social environment, however, its aptitude in mass production is an asset in the long-term economy.
