Saint Francis Relief Carving
Straw Applique Cross .A old spanish tradition used for at least 400 years
I grew up in Santa Fe new mexico playing sports and loved all challenges. I attended El Dorado Elementary for grade school and went to Monte Del Sol for middle and high school. In middle school i followed in my brothers foot steps and Choose my mentorship in New Mexico arts with Frankie Lucero. Frankie worked with me in developing my carving and painting skills. Shortly after i attended my first Spanish Market downtown Santa Fe in July 2005 with William and Luke. The show was a huge success and an experience of a lifetime. Retablos was my only category at the time. My 2nd year in the mentorship I starting working on relief carvings and Bulto skills.
