My cohort is Generation Z. People in this generation were born in the mid 90's and the 2000's. I was born in 2005 which means I grew up in the 2010's. This generation grew up in the rise of the technology era. My mother is an immigrant from South Korea and moved here when she was 9 years old. Her family immigrated to Hollywood and were working class. My dad was born and raised in Kentucky. His family was working class as well. I grew up in a lower-middle class household in Glendale, California. My family focuses a lot on my mom's culture (South Korean). Me and my sister both speak Korean fluently and we often times will cook traditional Korean food at home.
"The purpose of education is to help students learn. It is an early way to get them ready for the real world once they are all grown up. I want to teach 5th grade because that is what my mother teaches. I have always really looked up to my mother and I aspire to be like her one day, I think she is an amazing teacher and I would like to be able to do what she does for her students.. I think students learn best when learning is made fun. Adding little activities to help them learn will help them remember the material. Going over the material more in class rather than giving homework helps because you can ensure that everyone is engaged. When I am teaching, my goal is to help my students learn to the best of their abilities while also having a fun and relaxing environment to work in. I think the most effective way for teaching is to go over the material in class, or with an individual student if they need it, the most you can do is make sure that the students understand it. I know this from experience because just breezing through a topic will not help at all, the students will not remember what you taught them and will most likely not do good on the test which determines a lot about their overall grade. A personal goal I have for myself is to be an understanding and empathetic teacher that I know my students can rely on. Even if I do want to teach a younger grade and they normally don’t talk about personal things, I always want them to know that if they really are struggling with something, that I will be there to listen and to help in whatever way that I can. I believe that forming a bond or connection with a teacher is very important. A teacher is supposed to be someone children can trust and depend on educationally and emotionally. I hope to be a trustworthy teacher for my students in the future."
Personality Test Assignment
What is your personality type and what area do you fall under?
I got INFJ-T which is the advocate. It is in the diplomats area.
How do you feel about your results? Are the results accurate? Why or why not?
I feel like to me this personality type is very accurate. It describes my personality and what I stand for and believe in. Advocates are soft-spoken yet very strongly opinionated, which I believe is very true. I am quite soft-spoken, but if there is a topic I am passionate about I could talk about it for hours and share my opinion. Advocates are strong-willed but do not use this trait for personal gain. I like to think this is true because it is never my intent to do something out of the selfish desires of my own heart, I strive to do things to help other people. People with this personality type are creative and imaginative which I think is quite accurate. I always try to imagine things before trying them and that is my way of seeing if it will work. I like to create new things even if it is hard at times. Advocates can easily make connections with people. I think I have quite a lot of empathy which helps me understand people better, hence forming a closer connection or bond. One of the advocates weaknesses is being too sensitive to criticism which is absolutely true, I am a very sensitive person, especially when I am criticized and it sometimes gets in the way of my work or other important things that I should be worrying about. Another weakness is perfectionism which is true. I take too much time to make things perfect because it will bother me if they’re not, this ends up wasting a lot of my time. When it comes to relationships it says that advocates are more for serious in-depth relationships. I find this extremely accurate for me because I’m not one to blindly pick a partner, I want a relationship to have meaning and I want to be able to find someone I am comfortable with and who shares the same values and principles as me. Friendships are almost the same as romantic relationships. I tend to not make friends just to talk too, I would call those more acquaintances. I like to build friendships with people I trust and am able to have serious and fun times with, I want to have a deep connection that could last a lifetime and I want our interests and views to be similar. For parenthood, it says that advocates want to raise their children to be good people. I feel as a parent this would be one of my biggest priorities. I want my child and/or children to be good people that others enjoy being around and I want them to be happy with themselves and the things they have accomplished in life. Advocates want to find a career path where they could connect with people. I have always wanted to be a teacher and I think that it is a career path where it is very important to have connections with people. It says that advocates have high demands when it comes to the work environment. I set pretty high standards for myself while working, a lot of the times I set ones that I cannot achieve. I want to be able to get the job done and I want to do it well. However, I will not push my beliefs and work habits on others, everyone has their own ways of getting their work done and I respect that. I feel I definitely relate to how passionate, empathetic, and the amount of integrity advocates have. I want to have morals that benefit other people, I want to help other others as best as I can. I am very passionate in the things I believe and my morals and principles are so important to me. I want to hold a sense of integrity so I know what my goals in life are and that I am able to follow the set of rules I made for myself in order to achieve those goals.
How will you use these results to improve your life or make future life decisions?
I will use these results to try and push myself to be more like an advocate and help other people.

The Advocate personality type is very rare, making up less than one percent of the population, but they nonetheless leave their mark on the world. Advocates have an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but what sets them apart is that they are not idle dreamers. These individuals are capable of taking concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting positive impact.
People with this personality type tend to see helping others as their purpose in life. Advocates can often be found engaging in rescue efforts and doing charity work. However, their real passion is to get to the heart of the issue so that people need not be rescued at all.
