This fiction book is an autobiography of Erik, the mysterious character known as the Phantom of the Opera. When writing it, I attempted to blend together as many different versions of the story as I could, and there are bits and pieces of many versions scattered throughout. I hope that this version illuminates for you what might possibly have been going on behind that twisted face, at the Paris Opera so long ago.
