Sentriq Privacy Policy

Sentriq ("we", "our", or "the App") is a device security application developed by Huy Tran. This Privacy Policy outlines how Sentriq collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Data Collection

Sentriq does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
All data is processed and stored locally on your device only.

2. Camera & Photo Capture

When the "Intruder Photo Capture" feature is enabled, Sentriq may use your device’s front-facing camera to capture photos when suspicious activity triggers an alarm.

• This feature requires your explicit consent before activation

• Photos are stored securely in the app’s private storage

• Photos are only accessible within the Sentriq app

• Photos are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted externally

• You may delete photos at any time via the Incident Log

• The feature can be disabled at any time in Settings

3. Sensor Data

Sentriq uses device sensors to detect unauthorized activity:

• Accelerometer: detects motion, vibration, and movement

• Proximity sensor: detects when the device is removed from a pocket or bag

All sensor data is processed in real-time and is not stored, logged, or transmitted.

4. Audio

• Sentriq plays alarm sounds via your device speaker when suspicious activity is detected

• In "Don't Touch" mode, Text-to-Speech is used to provide a warning before triggering the alarm

• The microphone may be used for the "Clap to Find" feature (iOS only)

Important:
No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted at any time.

5. Biometric Authentication

Sentriq uses biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint) to verify the device owner when disabling alarms.

• All biometric processing is handled by the device OS (Android BiometricPrompt / iOS LocalAuthentication)

• Sentriq does not access, store, or process biometric data directly

6. Notifications

Sentriq generates local notifications to inform you when an alarm is active.

• Notifications are created entirely on-device

• No external push notification services are used

7. Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• App settings and preferences

• PIN code (stored via SharedPreferences / UserDefaults)

• Incident logs (timestamps, types, severity levels)

• Captured intruder photos (if enabled)

This data is:

• Not accessible to other apps

• Not uploaded to any server

• Not shared with any third party

8. Third-Party Services

Sentriq does not use any third-party services, including:

• Analytics tools

• Advertising networks

• Tracking systems

The app operates entirely offline.

9. Children's Privacy

Sentriq does not knowingly collect or process any data from children under the age of 13.

10. Permissions Used

Android

• Camera – capture intruder photos (with consent)

• Vibrate – provide vibration alerts

• Foreground Service – maintain alarm functionality in background

• Notifications – display alerts

• Biometric – authenticate device owner

• Wake Lock – keep device active during alarm

• Modify Audio Settings – ensure alarm audibility

• Sensors (accelerometer, proximity) – detect movement

iOS

• Camera – capture intruder photos

• Face ID – authenticate device owner

• Microphone – support "Clap to Find" feature

• Motion & Fitness – detect movement

• Background Audio – maintain alarm playback

11. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, you can remove it at any time by:

• Deleting incidents and photos within the app

• Uninstalling Sentriq (which removes all associated data)

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Updates will be reflected on this page along with a revised "Last updated" date.
