PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
CaseTracker Auto ("the App") is designed to help users track their U.S. immigration case status. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
2. Information We Collect The App collects and stores the following data locally on your device:
• USCIS Receipt Number — Used to check your case status via the USCIS website and API. • NVC Case Number (optional) — Used to check your NVC/CEAC case status. • Nickname — A label you assign to identify your case. • Visa Preference Category — Used to display relevant Visa Bulletin information. • Case Status & History — Retrieved from USCIS/NVC and stored locally for tracking
On our servers (Firebase) for account management and push notifications:
• Email Address — Collected via Google/Apple Sign In for account identification.
• Display Name — Your name from Google/Apple Sign In.
• Device Token — For push notifications.
• Case receipt numbers — To send status change notifications.
3. How We Use Your Information Your data is used solely to:
• Display your immigration case status within the App. • Send local push notifications when your case status changes or when the Visa Bulletin is updated. • Provide estimated timelines based on Visa Bulletin data.
4. Data Storage
Case data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults.
Account data (email, name, device token) is stored on Firebase servers
for account management and push notifications.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for
advertising or marketing purposes.
Account data (email, display name, device token) is shared with
Firebase (Google) solely for authentication and push notification
delivery. Firebase is prohibited from using your data for any
purpose other than providing these services.
The App does not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking services.
6. Third-Party Services The App connects directly to:
• USCIS (api-int.uscis.gov) — To retrieve case status information. • CEAC / State Department (ceac.state.gov) — To retrieve NVC case status. • State Department (travel.state.gov) — To retrieve Visa Bulletin data.
These are official U.S. government websites. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for information about how they handle requests.
7. Disclaimer
CaseTracker Auto is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the National Visa Center (NVC), or the U.S. Department of State. All data displayed in the App is retrieved from publicly available sources and may not reflect the most current status of your case.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Data Retention & Deletion
All your data is stored locally on your device and on our secure
servers (Firebase) for account management and push notifications.
You can delete your data at any time by:
• Deleting individual cases within the App.
• Resetting the checklist within the App.
• Deleting the App from your device.
• Emailing huytrandevios@gmail.com to request server-side deletion.
Server-side data is removed within 30 days of request.
10. Your Rights You have the right to:
• Access all data the App stores (visible directly in the App). • Delete your data at any time (see section 9). • Opt out of notifications via iOS Settings or within the App.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the App with an updated "Last updated" date.
12. Contact
Dear App Review Team,
Thank you for your feedback. Our previous reply addressed the sign-in flow but did
not directly answer your question about third-party AI services. We would like to
address Guidelines 5.1.1(i) and 5.1.2(i) specifically now.
CONFIRMATION: The app does NOT send user data to any third-party AI service.
The "AI Advisor" feature runs entirely on-device using Apple's own Foundation Models
framework (SystemLanguageModel / LanguageModelSession, iOS 26+). Case data, personal
information, and conversation content never leave the device for AI processing. There
is no OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or any other third-party AI provider in the
app, and there is no cloud AI fallback — on devices where Apple Intelligence is
unavailable, the feature is simply unavailable.
The immigration reference content used by the advisor is downloaded read-only from our
own Firebase configuration document. No user data is uploaded in that process.
For full transparency, these are all the external services the app communicates with:
1. Our own backend (casetracker-api.*.workers.dev) — checks USCIS / NVC / CEAC case
status using only the receipt number the user enters. Not an AI service.
2. Firebase (Google) — optional cloud backup and the community forum. Used only after
the user voluntarily signs in with Apple or Google.
3. travel.state.gov, egov.uscis.gov, ceac.state.gov — official U.S. government sources
for visa bulletin and case status.
4. Google Translate — translates publicly posted community forum content and public
news articles into the user's chosen app language. It is never applied to private
case data, and the content translated is content the user has already chosen to
post publicly.
None of these is an AI service that receives personal user data.
Our Privacy Policy
(https://sites.google.com/view/huytrandev/casetracker-auto/privacy-policy) identifies
what data the app collects, how it is collected, all uses of that data, and the third
parties involved, and confirms that those third parties provide equivalent data
protection. We have also added this information to the App Review Information section
as requested.
Regarding Guideline 2.3.3, we have uploaded new 13-inch iPad screenshots that show the
current version of the app in actual use.
Thank you for your time.
Best regards,
CaseTracker Auto Team
