Track 1 Hutchins graduates find career success in a wide range of fields, including law, library science, social work, public policy, counseling, journalism, business, human resources, arts administration, education administration, high school and college-level teaching, and more.
This elementary teacher preparation concentration fulfills California state mandated subject matter competency in Multiple Subjects and provides the academic skills required of future educators. Completion of the Track II Liberal Studies BA degree waives the CSET Multiple Subjects exam required for admission to California Multiple Subject and Education Specialist Credential Programs.
This concentration blends together the Liberal Studies teacher preparation major and the SSU School of Education Multiple Subjects Credential in an accelerated pathway. First time first year students complete both the Liberal Studies BA and EDMS Credential in 4 years. Upper Division transfer students complete both the Liberal Studies BA and the EDMS Credential in 5 semesters.sters.
