ABOUT RACES

 These are all possible racing leagues we could go to. We will mostly be going to ECSC/USCSA races, but the others were initially considered and still possible. 

There are currently four options for racing:

1. (Current Plan) Join the ECSC (Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference) division of USCSA (US Club Skiing Assoc) Club Skiing League as a Northeastern Center for Student Involvement Club

2. (Not Possible) Join the ECSC (Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference) division of USCSA (US Club Skiing Assoc) Club Skiing League as a Northeastern Club Sport

3. (cool, but unrealistic) Race in the FIS-sanctioned NCAA race carnivals either as

   1. Individual Guests (see “NENSA Carnival Quota”)

   2. A member school of the EISA Varsity League with the chance to qualify for NCAA National Championships

4. (Backup) Enter open/citizens' races , especially the (Junior) National Qualifiers (called the Eastern Cup series) to earn points to go to (junior) nationals. The series is run by NENSA (New England Nordic Ski Association) and requires both NENSA and USSA (US Ski and Snowboard Association) Memberships

   2. Register our club

   3. Individually join another nearby club: Cambridge Sports Union(CSU)/Eastern Mass Cross Country(EMXC) and Freedom Trail Nordic offer masters programs that skiers can join
