2. Why does this initiative exist?

As AI voiceovers become more prevalent, human-narrated content is often overlooked. This initiative was created to highlight the effort, nuance, and personality that a real voice brings to storytelling and information sharing.

3. Is this an anti-AI movement?

No. We acknowledge that AI voice has its uses and even benefits in certain contexts. Human Voice Certified is not a protest against AI—it’s a celebration of what makes human narration special.

4. Who created this?

The initiative was founded by @ThaMightyWon, a YouTube creator who noticed the growing trend of synthetic narration and wanted to create a way to honor and spotlight creators who lead with their voices.

5. How do I get certified?

There’s no formal review process—this is a trust-based movement. If your content features genuine human narration, you’re welcome to download and use the Human Voice Certified badge. Use it on thumbnails, end screens, podcast covers, your website, or anywhere your voice is heard. You’re also encouraged to submit a link to your content for inclusion on our Community + Recognition page. If you’d like to be featured in the image carousel as well, both can be submitted via the Contact page.

6. Can I use the badge even if I’m not a professional voice actor?

Yes! This isn’t about perfection—it’s about authenticity. Whether you’re a podcaster, gamer, educator, or vlogger, if you use your own voice (or someone else’s real voice), you qualify.

7. What if I’ve used AI voice in the past?

That’s okay. Many creators, including the founder, have explored AI voice for experimentation. What matters is that the content you’re certifying as “Human Voice Certified” uses real, human narration.

8. Is this limited to YouTube?

Nope. While it started on YouTube, the badge can be used for content on platforms like TikTok, Vimeo, Twitch, podcasts, online courses, and more.

9. Is there a cost to join?

No. This is a free initiative. Our goal is to build a movement, not a paywall.

10. Can I contribute or help spread the word?

Absolutely! Share the badge, link to the site, tag fellow creators, or just start conversations about the importance of real voices in media. You can also follow us on social media and sign up for updates.

11. Does using AI in any part of my content disqualify me?

Not at all. Human Voice Certified specifically refers to narration. If your content includes AI-generated visuals, scripts, or even limited use of AI-generated voices—for background characters, transitions, or experimentation—you’re still eligible. This initiative honors content where the primary narrative voice—the one carrying the message, story, or instruction—is authentically human. Occasional or supporting use of AI voice doesn’t automatically disqualify your content. That said, if you’re unsure how much is too much, see the next question.

12. How much human narration is enough to qualify?

We get it—some projects blend voices. Maybe you’re experimenting with AI voiceovers in dialogue or supporting roles. That’s fine, as long as the majority of the narration—the central voice guiding the content—is human. If your video, podcast, or other media relies more heavily on AI than human narration, it likely falls outside the spirit of the badge. This is a trust-based movement, so use your best judgment.
