“Most people wouldn’t guess that I’m the oldest child in my family and that I aspire to become an engineer someday. From an early age I have been fascinated with designing and building things and the whole concept of innovation. It always amazed me how humans can come up with big ideas and execute them to create marvelous creations. I took an early interest and followed around my dad whenever he was doing a project around the house, like when he built a small enough carport in our backyard for the car, or when he transformed an old closet into a mini bathroom. My interest carried over when I decided to join the robotics team at my high school. Robotics immediately grew my love and interest for engineering because I got to experience what engineering is like in the real world. I have continued to grow. This is my fourth but last year on the team. I would never have traded this experience for anything else in the world.”
