Born Adrian Matthew Guinto Alabado, Marina embraced her stage name, drawing inspiration from her love for the beach and the summer season. She openly shared her pronouns, highlighting her identity as both he/him and she/hers, especially when addressing her drag persona. Raised in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, Marina moved to Manila to pursue her studies and delve into drag culture. Her bond with her biological sister, Mariel Sabrina Sampilo, was showcased on Drag Race Philippines Season 1, where they appeared in matching ensembles, reminiscing about their childhood connection through fashion and makeup. Marina's career transitioned from producing shows to becoming a prominent figure in drag, influenced by her introduction to RuPaul's Drag Race and her behind-the-scenes work with local queens. She sees drag as a form of expression and art, paralleling her passion for singing and music, which she views as additional creative outlets.
