December 2023: 

Lab researchers attended the 4th Asian Conference on Ergonomics and Design, Held at Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM -Mumbai) and presented three research papers.

November 2023: 

Joined as a life time member of the Indian Society of Ergonomics.

November 2023: 

Lab members attended the 14th International conference India HCI 2023 and presented a research poster on "The usage of digital twin to reduce manufacturing defects in Industry 4.0" 

November 2023: 

Attended 14th International conference India HCI 2023 and presented paper poster on digital twin.

October 2023:

September 2023: A paper entitled "A Framework for Development of a Virtual Reality Environment for Building Empathy in Indian Nursing Professionals" has been accepted and will be published in the proceedings of International Conference on EdTech 2023. Congratulation to all the authors.

August 2023: A paper entitled "Effects of Posture and Locomotion Methods on Postural Stability, Cybersickness, and Presence in a Virtual Environment" has been accepted and published in the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction. Congratulation to all the authors.

August 2023: Promoted as Head of UX and Interaction design program in School of Design, UPES Dehradun, India.  

June 2023: Call for Book Chapters for the book titled- "Exploring the Metaverse: Challenges and Applications". Thanks to Dr. Deepika Koundal from Department of Computer Science, UPES for collaborating with us.

February 2023: Siddharth Kumar has joined HFID Lab as researcher. 

January 2023:  Shalini and Pankaj has joined HFID Lab as researchers. 

July 2022:  First paper from HFID Lab, UPES entitled "A Comparative Study of Prototyping Methods for HCI Design Using Cognitive Load-Based Measures" has been published in 24th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction, HCII 2022. Thanks to Dr. Jyoti Kumar.

July 2022:  A paper entitled "A Systematic Literature Review on Machine Learning Techniques for Human Status Detection" has been accepted and published in IEEE Access. Special thanks to Dr. Suman Kalyan Sardar for all his efforts and congrats!! DOI: 10.1109/ACCESS.2022.3190967 

June 2022:  Dr. Naveen Kumar joined the School of Design, Interaction Design at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun as an assistant professor.

December 2021:  My last day in HCT Lab, GNU, South Korea and new journey begins...

November 2021:  The HCT Lab attended ESK 2021 Fall Conference at Jeju Island. Paper poster presentations won the award!! 

September 2021:  A paper entitled "Human-Machine Interface in Smart Factory: A Systematic Literature Review" is accepted and will be published in Technological Forecasting & Social Change. This is the first publication led by only HCT Lab members.

February 2021:  A paper entitled "Human-Machine Interface in Smart Factory: A Systematic Literature Review" in Technological Forecasting & Social Change has been submitted. 

October 2020:  Dr. Naveen joined Human-Centered Technology Lab and started working with Dr. Lee 

May 2020:  Deliver a talk on "Cognitive ergonomics in Design", Invited by Dr. Somnath Gangopadhyay, Dept. of physiology, Culcatta university. 

October 2019:  Dr. Naveen attended International Conference on Humanizing Design, World Design Organization Research and Education Forum, Hyderabad and presented paper poster on "A new approach to design assistive robots: humanizing design for future"

August 2019:  Dr. Naveen published paper entitled "Challenges for Interface Designers in Designing Sensor Dashboards in the Context of Industry 4.0" in international journal of industrial and manufacturing engineering.

May 2019:  Dr. Naveen joined Unitedworld Institute of Design, Karnavati University, Gandhinagar as an Assistant Professor.

Dr. Naveen completed PhD Degree from Department of Design, IIT Delhi under the supervision of Dr. Jyoti Kumar
