More stuff being added when I have time and am motived to update - 3D Printed Stuff, Music Stuff, Robots, Coding stuff!
UBass!!! Intermittently worked on from June 2022 to March 2023. A UBass is a bass guitar that is the size of a ukulele. I made this entire thing using only hand tools plus an electric drill. This is the first instrument I have made and hopefully not the last. This one is currently acoustic in the sense that it does not have a pickup, but it does not have a hollow body. I plan on adding a pickup in the future.
For this class, I essentially just had to make something in Solidworks. I made this semi realistic raptor engine and accompanying video. The hardest part of this project was nailing the lofts for tubing - especially with diameter changes. Overall though it wasn't that hard - pretty simple exterior geometry.
Ender 3 Pro
+ 4.2.7 Mainboard with personalized firmware
+ BLTouch
+ Silly filament container w/ bearings (essentially just keeps dust out)
+ PEI bed layer
I want to switch over to a Pi or something in the future so i can control remotely
3D Printing: Bike Rack Mount
I do not have a car at school, so i depend on my bike to get places. Sometimes I need to move things so having this modular bike rack mounting system allows me to mount various boxes to my bike! I use this literally everyday and it works great!
Both the mounts for the milk crate and the lidded box are two parts that get glued together. Zipties loop through the bottom part before gluing. The mounts are ziptied to the bike rack. The keys (parts that swivel in the mount) are embedded into the crate and box such that they cannot be removed without a lot of effort in a specific motion. This allows the crate/box to lock into the mount by twisting the key.
This is an old design, but still shows how the parts interact internally
Solidworks Guitar project I did for fun in 2021! I didnt even notice til I uploaded the UBass stuff, but this is totally unrelated lol. I modeled the whole thing after Rob Scallon's signature model with Chapman guitars. Also I could probably add a few more sketch layers to the loft of the neck that would make the heel and volute areas look better but ehh.
