Welcome to the Hudson Home & Garden Club!
The purpose of our club is to promote an interest in gardening and to encourage beautification of our homes and community through garden programs, community service, special projects, the sharing of knowledge and the conservation of natural resources.
Current Projects and Volunteer Opportunities
1. Serve as a club officer – refer to bylaws for descriptions
2. Serve as a committee chair
3. Hostess/Host for our meetings: usually 4 people each month to provide coffee, snacks,
and table decorations if so desired.
4. Fundraiser chair or co-chair or committee member
a. Gerten’s Plant Sale Coordinator and Disbursement Committee
b. Meat Raffle Committee
c. Coordinate and/or help with Festival Brat Stand Sale
d. Other fundraising efforts as they present themselves
5. Serve on Grant Selection Committee
6. Be a “Buddy” for a new member
7. Library gardens
a. Clean-up and plantings outside
b. Inside watering and plantings
c. Holiday tree decorating (set up and take down)
8. Planting hanging baskets for downtown Hudson
9. Help maintain garden at Prospect Park
10.Downtown orbs or other decorations for the winter holiday season as needed and other liaisons
to the Hudson Chamber of Commerce.
11.Earth Day clean-up downtown
12. Help coordinate Arbor Day Tree Project
13. Fresh Harvest Pantry Program participation
14. Teach community education class for kids
15. Oversee a HH&GC table at events
16. T-shirt sales
