Welcome to our ELA (English Language Ambassadors) program!

We are a passionate collective, hailing from various Latin American countries, many of us having walked the path of immigration ourselves. Through our journeys, we've come to understand firsthand the pivotal role language plays in navigating and flourishing within a new culture, particularly here in the United States.

Driven by empathy and a desire to pay it forward, we've made it our mission to empower our fellow immigrants at Hudson Bend Trailer Park with the gift of English proficiency. Understanding the challenges of transportation and time constraints, we meet our students right where they are, both geographically and educationally.

Our approach is personal and impactful. Each volunteer is paired with a student for a year-long journey of language acquisition. Weekly one-hour sessions are dedicated to fostering communication skills, supported by carefully curated study materials provided by our program.

What sets us apart is our inclusivity. You don't need to speak Spanish to join us in this noble endeavor. All that's required is a willingness to share your time, knowledge, and compassion.
