Salawatun Nabi ﷺ – The Heart of Hubb Leicestershire
At the very core of Hubb Leicestershire lies a gathering that defines our purpose, nurtures our hearts, and unites our community — our weekly Salawatun Nabi ﷺ.
This blessed gathering is more than just a session; it is a space where hearts reconnect with the Beloved Messenger of Allah ﷺ. In a time of distraction and distance, we come together to revive love, increase remembrance, and send abundant salutations upon the one through whom we were guided to Islam.
Allah ﷻ and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, and we are commanded to do the same. Through Salawat, hearts are softened, worries are lifted, and a deep connection to the Prophet ﷺ is cultivated — a connection that transforms both the individual and the home.
Dalā’il al-Khayrāt – A Timeless Tradition
At the centre of our gathering is the recitation of Dalā’il al-Khayrāt, a work that has been cherished, recited, and preserved across generations of the Ummah.
Authored by the great Imam al-Jazuli رحمه الله, Dalā’il al-Khayrāt is widely recognised and accepted by scholars across the Muslim world as one of the most comprehensive and powerful compilations of Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ. Its recitation has become a unifying practice, connecting hearts across cultures, lands, and centuries.
The most senior scholars have even said:
“If you do not have a dedicated Shaykh, then make Dalā’il al-Khayrāt your Shaykh.”
This profound statement reflects the transformative nature of this text — a guide that nurtures love for the Prophet ﷺ, disciplines the tongue in remembrance, and anchors the heart in devotion.
A Gathering of Love, Reflection & Community
Our Salawatun Nabi ﷺ gathering is designed to be accessible, welcoming, and spiritually enriching for all:
Collective recitation of Dalā’il al-Khayrāt
A calm, reflective environment centred on remembrance
A space to build love for the Prophet ﷺ together
Readings from Al-Shamā’il al-Muḥammadiyyah by Imam Tirmidhi رحمه الله — a beautiful compilation describing the noble character, habits, and physical appearance of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
Opportunities to connect with like-minded brothers in a meaningful way
To support attendees in continuing this blessed practice, every participant will receive a complimentary copy of Dalā’il al-Khayrāt.
Beyond the Gathering
The gathering does not end with recitation.
After the session, we invite all attendees to remain, unwind, and connect over tea and refreshments. These moments are just as important — strengthening brotherhood, building bonds, and fostering a sense of belonging within our community.
Why This Matters
At Hubb Leicestershire, we believe that strong communities are built upon strong hearts — and strong hearts are built upon love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Salawatun Nabi ﷺ is not simply an event; it is the heart of our activities, the spiritual anchor that grounds everything we do. From youth programmes to community initiatives, it is this love and connection that gives our work meaning and direction.
