Our department is hosting the National Brain Bee Championship this year! Elif is visiting from Boston for this special occasion! Elif first became inspired to pursue neuroscience after attending the Central NJ Brain Bee (hosted by our department) as a high school student. She is now a neuroscience PhD student at Boston University as an NSF GRFP predoctoral fellow! Seeing students like Elif thrive makes participating in the Brain Bee so worthwhile every year.

Vicky will be starting her new job as an Assistant Professor at Saint Anselm College. She will be running her own lab to study microglia-neuron interactions using zebrafish. We had a mini-reunion to send her off to New Hampshire. Congratulations Vicky!!
