Huaye Zhang Laboratory @ Rutgers

Welcome to the Zhang lab!

The human brain contains about 100 billion neurons wired into complex circuits through hundreds of trillions of synapses. The development and plasticity of these synapses are essential for our ability to learn, remember and can even affect our personality. Our laboratory is interested in the cellular and molecular basis of synaptic plasticity, and how it translates to learning and memory processes. In addition, we are interested in how memory fails in pathological processes like Alzheimer's disease.

We are grateful for the support from the following funding agencies.
