Huawei Watch Face Designer Download

I got some points, I hope someone will use it and finally create great watchface. First, if you want to create watch face which look like user interface for spaceship "for real geeks", or weather computer, my tips are not for you. I just wanted to talk how generally usable watch face should look.

I bought almost 100 watch faces for my Watch 5 in last couple of months. Also, I love great, real watches. Sad to say, almost NONE single watchface is fully usable, well designed and readable. I'm tired of this s**.

The one watch digital face (because almost all analog are worthless) I'm using the most is MD131. Simple, straight, to the point. Most important information nicely visible. Fonts of proper, readable size. Only two colors. Not single useless information/complication. Ok, this moonphase icon is redundant, but free space in this place was used very well and do not distracts. Also notification text is useless and not needed at all. But I can live with that.

not using SPACE. Design should "breathe". Leave space between important elements - which show information. Remeber, typical user just takes a peek for a second. Good watch face should give the most information in a second. Watch is a tool.

most important information not in watch center. For example, many watch faces treat TIME label as some not important thing, placed on top or bottom or even in corner of a watch face. For me, it's a mistake. THE WATCH MAIN PURPOSE is TO SEE TIME. Then DATE and STEPS. All other information is secondary. For LCD watch face, place time label in center. Less important labels on top and bottom. Do not try to push more and more, smaller and smaller. It's bad.

mixing daily usage with activities. Daily usage is fashion-like look. When starting sport activity, there are other system watch faces to look at with sport stats, etc.. If I wanted to see how fast i run, I have stats screen for that, etc..

almost none designer does not get it how to design HANDS. Guys, look how real watches, like Orient, Seiko, Citizen divers-style watches did it. For example Seiko Prospex series. Their hands are wide, properly shaped. Minute hand is different from hour hand, it's often longer, BUT PROPORTIONS are the same. Tip of minute hand should "touch" background indexes. Tip of hour hand CANT cover hour indexes. Also I saw many designs where both hands looked the same. Or even one hand had totally different style than the other. Do you guys see it? Gosh, it look awful and you can't tell i'ts 10 after 10 or 10 to 2.

But, if you copy, do it precisely. Do not think that fans of Rolex or Omega will buy your pixel-imperfect cheap looking fake. They can smell imperfections from a distance. "I created real world copy and no one buys it!". Because you did it quickly, without attention to detail. I can see how ugly your watchfaces are without even zooming. That's why I removed I think 80% of watchfaces from my library on Wearable app. I just can't stand imperfect designs. The more I look at them, more I hate them. Other users wan't see these imperfections, but they FEEL that something is WRONG. That's the power of polishing. If hands of your watchface are blurred, it is VISIBLE as hell. If hands of your watchface are crooked, I see it, others see it.

I do not need ANY OF YOUR F*** SHORTCUTS. I can reach any action/app straight from menu or assign buttons for it. You wasting space. Unassigned shortcut places often look ugly with dot matrix. Gosh, disgusting. But it can be even worse. You decided to show colorful system app icons on these buttons. Result: multiple colorful icons colliding with watch face design style and colors. It looks like full dumpster. Samsung should forbid this corn-fed features. That's why Apple has so many fans - when your designs are almost perfect, you can limit features and people will stick to defaults anyways. You can't do many things on Apple Watch (face), but milions of people still prefer this device, besides its limitations.

if you created analog watch face, DO NOT CHANGE it's layout or most important elements: indexes, hands in AOD mode. Gosh, it looks ugly, when your watch face changes totally when turning AOD on. It should be changed slightly - dim background only and dynamic elements. When you awake your watch, change should be subtle - show only additional more important information. Develop some taste.

for LCD digital - inverting watch faces is a bad idea. Again - you are totally changing watchface. Point of AOD is to my favourite watch face be visible at all circumstances the same way and save energy A LITTLE - if I wanted to save energy A LOT, I can disable this s** at all.

The largest parts of this release are the template engine for watch face previews and the support for linear and radial gradients. The preview templates are NOT included in the main application download. I attach here a link for some templates, but the purpose is to have the community make and share their own templates, so we all can benefit from it.
