The Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Lab is opening a few spots for undergraduate research assistants in summer 2026. My group works on projects related to wetland restoration, soil and water quality, greenhouse gas monitoring, and nature-based approaches to environmental challenges.
This is a good fit for students who are genuinely interested in research and willing to put in consistent effort. You’ll get hands-on experience in both the lab and the field, learn environmental testing techniques, and have the chance to contribute to ongoing research projects. It’s also solid preparation if you’re thinking about graduate school or a career in environmental engineering or science.
I’m looking for motivated undergraduates in engineering, environmental science, or related majors. Prior lab or field experience is great (but not required). Curiosity and commitment matter most.
If you’d like to apply, please email me (jing.hu@ucf.edu) with your resume, your major and year, and a short paragraph about why you’re interested and what you’d like to get out of the experience.
