This study offers new insights into how emerging contaminants like PFOS disrupt phosphorus cycling and microbial functions in wetland ecosystems, with broader implications for ecological risk assessments.

• 11/2024. [Paper] Our collaborative paper "Interaction between root exudates and PFOS mobility: Effects on rhizosphere microbial health in wetland ecosystems" has been published in the journal Plant Physiology and Biochemistry. This study highlights the distinct defense strategies of two wetland plants and underscores the importance of plant-microbe interactions and root exudate composition in determining microbial resilience to PFOS contamination.   

• 11/2024. [Paper] Two collaborative papers have been published in Bioresource Technology and Pedosphere.

  •  "Phosphorus bioavailability and recycling potential in various organic Waste: Assessment by enzymatic hydrolysis and 31P NMR" introduces a novel methodological framework for assessing P potential bioavailability in organic waste, providing fundamental knowledge for the P recycling process optimization.

  • "Arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis enhances microbial contribution to mineral-associated organic carbon persistence in the soil: Insights from soil microbial community and microbial necromass carbon" assessed the microbial community of different soil samples and found that arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis influenced the soil microbial community composition and enhanced soil microbial community functions related to carbon degradation.

• 10/2024. [Paper] Our collaborative paper "Arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis enhances the accumulation of plant-derived carbon in soil organic carbon by regulating the biosynthesis of plant biopolymers and soil metabolism" has been published in the journal Plant Physiology and Biochemistry.

• 07/2024. [Paper] Zihan's first paper, "Nitrous oxide fluxes during a winter cover crop season in a Mississippi corn cropping system," has been published in the journal Soil & Environmental Health.
