Why Join?
Activities
Girls are able to participate in activities that range from creating meal plans for fellow Girl Scouts, learning the essential knots and lashes, to yearly community service activities for the temple.
These activities aim to teach Scouts life skills that may not be achieved through schooling alone, as well as expose girls to the world in a meaningful way.
Building Friendships for Life
Besides learning new skills and gaining new experiences, girls benefit from Girl Scouting by forming close friendships that cannot be found anywhere else.
Whether it's having fun at Seaworld together, roasting marshmallows over the campfire, singing Girl Scout camp songs during meetings, or more, girl scouting provides plenty of opportunities for girls to grow closer the more time they spend together. There is always something more to learn from others!
Awards
Through joining Girl Scouts, girls are able to earn skills and experience by completing their Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards. As girls earn each of Girl Scout's highest awards, they will be able to help change and benefit their community!

The girls collected used milk carton or other contains during the lunch time in their school cafeteria, during the school days about a week before the event, they collected over 100 milk cartons which they use as container to give out our little plants.
They asked other girls in the troop who were able to participate in the event to donate some succulent plants or other plants from their backyards to give out to people visit the Earth Day event. Succulent plants are easy to grow and they could just cut the branches and regrow easily.
During the event, they gave out some veggie seeds, different kind of succulent plants, veggies and other plants which neighbors could use in their backyard. And educate young kids about the importance of using water wisely and recycling of the waste. They were able to give out more than hundreds of plants to participants to the event.

My Silver Award Project done with Molly targeted the students at our school. We noticed that ever since the pandemic hit, students started socializing less. In addition, our school used to have activities that would allow students to bond. We realized that students started to feel more lonely. This led to our project of opening an online server using an app called Discord. By creating a Discord server, we were hoping we could allow students from our school to meet new people, create better connections with friends they already know, and use it as a space for them to wind down at the end of the day. We were able to promote our project through our school news network. We also created virtual posters to post on our school’s social media account as well as a Google Classroom which consisted of all the students from our school. After a lot of planning, our discord server called “On Desire” officially opened on March 15, 2021. Overall, we had more than 100 students from our school get to know one another as well as bond. Through completing this award, I was able better develop leadership skills such as how to take initiative, planning/coordinating skills, communication, and problem solving skills.
