The students play a big part in building the school culture. The student government plan many events and fundraisers including school assemblies, parties, and candy-gram events. They also play an integral role on the School Leadership Team as representatives of student voice of the school.
The NHS is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. We have a chapter established at HSGC for current sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
Students across grades are selected for a work-based learning program to be paid as peer mediators. The job of a peer mediator is to assist with resolving conflicts, creating campaigns to promote social-emotional learning, and be a positive influence on the school community.
Prospect Heights Campus offers several sports for students to participate in throughout all seasons of the year. Most of our teams are offered through PSAL (Public School Athletic League). The mission of the Public School Athletic League is to provide opportunities for educating students in physical fitness, character development and socialization skills through an athletic program that fosters teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship.
