The college will be implementing a Directed Self-Placement (DSP) process. The DSP is primarily a questionnaire that guides you to select an English course that best suits your experience level with academic reading and writing. You will complete the Directed Self-Placement process with me. We will provide additional support and guidance as you decide your current level of College Reading and Writing Readiness. If you choose an ENG 121 placement (with CRWR designation), you will complete an additional reading/writing exam to be evaluated by an English faculty member. They will notify you of your results through your CLC email within a couple of days.
1. Book a time to take the test by selecting a day. You will need a computer or smart phone with a microphone.
2. You will receive a Zoom invite - make sure accept and add it to your calendar.
3. A couple of minutes prior to your appointment the English DSP link will be emailed to you
4. Complete the DSP questionnaire with me. The process should take about 15 - 30 minutes.
5. Once the DSP is complete, you will know which English course to enroll in for the fall semester.
