It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations and seaports on the Black Sea, in what has become a popular area with several large resorts—the largest, Sunny Beach, is situated immediately to the north of Nesebar.

Sunny Beach Coastline
The beach line is 8 km long and 30 m – in places up to 60 m wide, covered with fine golden sand and with natural sand dunes. Many rare plant species grow here. The sea is clean and without dangerous or predatory fish. The average temperature of the sea water is 20-26 °C, and its salinity is twice lower than that of the Mediterranean. The sunshine hours between May and October are about 1,700.
Sunny Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag eco-label for environmental advantages – clean beaches and sea, fresh air coming from the nearby mountain.
Pomorie is a town and seaside resort in southeastern Bulgaria, located on a narrow rocky peninsula in Burgas Bay on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea Coast.
It is situated in Burgas Province, 20 km away from the city of Burgas and 18 km from the Sunny Beach resort.
Pomorie is an ancient city and today an important tourist destination.
