Within the Heart River CTE Center, our mission is to provide students from our participating high schools with high-quality career and technical education that reflects North Dakota’s workforce needs. Through certifications, career exploration, and preparation for post-secondary education, we equip students to thrive in both their chosen professions and communities. We also support our CTE faculty with professional growth opportunities and institutional resources, ensuring they can deliver innovative, industry-aligned instruction.

NEWS
We are grateful to Basin Electric and Mor-Gran-Sou for their generous $10,000 Tech & Engineering grant received on September 11, 2026. These funds allowed us to invest in arcade and pinball systems, providing students with unique, interactive hardware for engineering and troubleshooting studies. (Check out the Tech & Eng page for more information.)
Integrating vintage arcade cabinets and classic arcade hardware into a Tech & Engineering curriculum offers a multi-disciplinary, hands-on approach to STEM education. Because early arcade machines were triumphs of resource-constrained engineering, they provide a tangible bridge between theoretical concepts and practical application.
