Internships Work placements Opportunity in HRCO Musoma Mara -Tanzania

HRCO was founded in 2013 and Centre that supports of orphans, and young children in the community of Musoma. Recently it has expanded to running several entrepreneurial projects in order to improve the lives and skills of the local disadvantaged people.

HRCO mission is to continually provide support for the more relatively disadvantaged citizens of Musoma and the surrounding areas, through supporting the most vulnerable children and providing them with basic needs, education and comprehensive healthcare, and to support the older disadvantaged and marginalized with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and key skills to allow for a sustainable income, to cater for them and their families.

Hope Revival Children's Organization has focused on Musoma's problems and demands, and has so far managed to:

• Support 50 orphans for two years, finding them foster families, funding their clothes, medical treatment, mosquito nets, yearly HIV check-ups, as well as educational support. The children receive weekly social counseling, and meet together at HRCO every Saturday for sports and games.

• Support young local children in a nursery, 5 morning sessions a week.

• Support a sewing machine project, teaching young vulnerable women skills in tailoring and garment making in a six month course.

• Support a shoe making project, teaching skills of sandal and leather shoe making in a six month course.

• Support a brick making project-teaching the key skills required to sieve grain, add cement and create interlocking bricks, as well as teaching the techniques of house building.

• Support a bio sand water filter project, where locals are given a mould in which they can produce water filters using bio sand and cement. These are sold for profit for the makers and help to provide the community with clean safe water.

• Support a soap making project, helping older women to learn new skills whilst making a profit.

• Imani Peace group, a group for the orphans foster mothers in which they learn entrepreneurial skills as well as being offered a micro-credit scheme.

• Support a solar lamp project.
