Every Fall, we gather as a community for an exciting evening of games, crafts, dancing, and more. We even have a mobile flu clinic available for interested families to gear up for flu season.
This is a 2-week long reading extravaganza. Every student receives a free book and a packet to track their reading time. In a previous year, we had a goal of 60,000 minutes for the whole school. Community Night is a special evening to come together as a beautiful tapestry of diverse neighbors. Folks showcase artifacts, images, food, and performances from the various cultures that form our school community. Time to stock up on new, enticing books, journals, bookmarks, and more at the annual book fair. Kids love picking out their favorite titles to bring home and a portion of the proceeds help fund the PTA.
Lace up your running shoes for this energetic family event! Children AND adults can run (or walk) in races and participate in other fun games and activities. Learn more about this year's event here.
Time to gather again to celebrate another memorable year together at Highland Park Elementary. Families bring picnics and spread out on the school field while the kids run and play on the playground. At the close of the evening, tantalizing prizes are raffled off to the kids while everyone applauds each excited winner.
