We started the day by showing the students a movie of a tsunami. For the younger students we chose a few scenes from the movie "Waterworld" to engage them in the problem of the day: "How can we survive if the world becomes flooded? "

We worked with the following trigger questions:

Question 1: What would you do if you were in that situation?

Question 2: What would you save if this happened?

Question 3: How would you feel if this happened?

Question 4: What would you hear if this happened?

1. We gave each of the students a small piece of paper for each question. The students wrote their thoughts about the question on the paper. After each question we talked about the things they wrote. At the end of every round, we put all the paper notes together as a mind map.

2. The class was divided into four groups, and each group worked with one of the trigger questions. The groups worked with rotating mind maps for approximately ten minutes per group per question.

The teachers took pictures and put them on the padlet.
