Howard is retired. He has a house, a garden and a dog.
Howard lives in Brighton, South Australia, about 16km from the Adelaide CBD and quite close to the beach at Brighton and to the Brighton railway station.
Howard taught ethics in the business school at the University of South Australia and still publishes in the field.
