Breast Augmentation with Lipofilling

Today, big breasts are seen as feminine, but unfortunately not everyone is blessed with a full bosom. Many women therefore see a breast augmentation as a result, but this does not always work out well. Think of the leakage of the prostheses, and the clear sight of the edges of the implants. That's why something new came up: lipofilling. Filling your breasts with fat from another part of your body. This sounds very nice, of course, to say goodbye to your tummy and welcome a few full breasts, but does that really work?

How it's put together

It's a very simple idea: You put liposuction on the spot where you have too much fat. The fat cells that you win with this are cleansed of fluids and blood, and then you inject the fat cells back into your breasts. There is therefore no knife involved, everything happens with a syringe. Because it is your own fat cells, your body will not reject it. When you are very slim and have little fat, lipofilling is not possible, because you can only work with body cells.

Disadvantages of implants

Implants are foreign objects. That means that your body will encapsulate them with connective tissue. This reaction is normal, but sometimes the connective tissue continues to grow. This can cause the breast to become deformed and feel painful and hard. The breast may also look unnatural. If the breasts are enlarged too much, you have a chance that your chest is taut, and the natural shape and softness is completely lost. And the breast may be lifted after the operation, in the long run they will drop out, because the implant, filled with physiological salt, is heavier than fat. All these disadvantages do not have a lipofilling.

Disadvantages of lipofilling

Now all sounds very good, a natural form of your breasts preserved, no complications, fat away on another place of your body, but there are certainly also disadvantages. For example, in America it is not recommended to do this, since the stem cells that sometimes lie between the fat cells may start to form cartilage. You do not feel or see anything like this, but on a mammography this may look like a suspicious spot, although a good radiologist often sees the difference between them. It is also not possible to make your breasts much bigger. Maximum 1 to 1.5 cup larger. After the treatment, 30% to 50% of the fat cells deposited die off. To achieve the desired result you can repeat the treatment again after about 3 months.

The treatment and the healing process.

Many doctors bring the patient completely anesthetized during treatment. The liposuction and breast enlargement together last about 2 hours. You will not have any scars about it: Only the places where the jab went inside are visible in the beginning. The healing process of lipofilling is generally faster than with a breast augmentation by means of implants. You can not move intensively and lift heavy things for four to six weeks. The first week it is wise to take off, but soon you can start working again. Also, the treatment is not painful, it feels the first week Many doctors bring the patient completely anesthetized during treatment.
