Samsung Electronics reinforced its commitment to offering the best mobile experiences possible for Galaxy users by supporting for three generations of Android operating system (OS) upgrades on millions of Galaxy devices1.

For example, the Galaxy S20 lineup, announced in February 2020 powered by Android 10, will get support for three OS upgrades starting with Android 11 to give users a refreshing phone experience. The Galaxy S20 line-up will also be the first Galaxy devices to receive the Android 11 upgrade later this year5, with other devices to follow shortly thereafter.

Samsung Electronics and MediaTek completed the successful testing of 5G Standalone Uplink (UL) 2CC Carrier Aggregation (CA) with C-Band UL MIMO to reach top uplink speeds, marking a groundbreaking achievement in wireless mobile capabilities. This approach used three transmit (3Tx) antennas to improve upload experiences, ushering in an era of enhanced connectivity for consumers worldwide.

Hi, I just purchased the Galaxy Watch 3 45mm (Bluetooth ... non-LTE). I have it paired with my Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. It took a while to get the watch to finish pairing, but with the help of Samsung Support (and a full phone-reset of the S20), it all seems to be working fine. However, there are three issues that I haven't figured out yet. (It could just be that I don't yet understand how these things work.) Please excuse me for posting all three issues in one post. I thought it might be better than posting three separate messages.

I recently received a software update to my Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. I installed it and the update changed the navigation bar.

Previously the navigation bar was three buttons, evenly spaced from each other and centered in the bottom of the screen.

Unfortunately not, even after going to a phone unlocking service, the three splash screen was locked in, i did read that there was a 'patched version' of an 'unlocker' that could flash the phone back to the baseline, but this isn't something i was prepared to do on the handset. Ironically.... the S21 Ultra recently passed away, and i purchased the S22 directly from Samsung... in a sense... an expensive way to get rid of the splash screen, but it worked i suppose. lol .

We usually dig a bit further into the past for Throwback Thursday, but decided to make an exception for the Samsung NX1. Announced just three years ago, the NX1 is the camera that still leaves us wondering what might have been had Samsung decided to remain in the camera market. Alas, we'll never know.

I bought three NX1, two NX500, all the fixed and zoom professional lenses (two 16-50) and two low cost zoom.

I absolutely do not regret having bought all this equipment, I bought it just when it was starting to be probable and then it was obvious that Samsung had come out of the camera market.

All I have are still as new, amazing for many aspects but the unbearable defect, I repeat once again, already said this years ago, is that the NX1 creates micro blurred images due to the vibration of the shutter blades, particularly with 50-150 mm, when T is between 1/125 and 1 s, (sometimes at 1/160) and well visible also with 16-50 mm, above 30 mm focal lenght.

This does not happen with the NX500.

Even if samsung cameras were better than sony, people still choose sony. At least it's true in malaysia. Just bad timing for camera makers. Pro features, but pros don't want to switch. Should have joined m43 alliance? I dunno...

@Japan - maybe because you were repeating it for 5 years samsung was on the market? If I keep repeating that canon pulls out of business it is not unlikely that it may actually happen in next 60 years.

I have 2 of them, bought second when it was clear samsung is quiting camera business. it goes as stron as ever, but after 3 years of use, i have following complaints"

- low light af , while not bad, could be better (daylight AF is ecellent)

- 4k in 60fps - because why not

- IBIS - the only serious feature this camera doesn't have (though i'm using stabilied S lenses anyway)

I see other aps-c camera that could replace and outpreform samsung. It will happen, but haven't yet - possibli fuji, as their -pro 2 is a good attempt, but no stabilized standard zoom, short video recording time, no touchscreen make it of limited use to me.

Introduced just three years ago, the Samsung NX1 was both a technological tour-de-force and a great camera to use, earning one of the highest scores we've ever awarded and winning our 2015 Innovation Award. But its short-lived run in the photo world leaves us wondering what could have been.

I've purchased a CS-Pro USB DAC adapter ( ) as all of the small basic local ones I tried (including Ugreen and Samsung's own adapters, and all Bluetooth devices) have a low-level analogue background hiss noticeable while listening at very low levels (2-3% volume for night time listening). The sound on this higher spec dongle (Cirrus CS46L41 chip, S/N 125+dB) is lovely for the price, and there's no hiss, but I've encountered a really strange problem which only seems to occur on the Galaxy A54-5G.

The A54 (and only the A54) does not recognise the three-button events (Play/Pause, Vol+ and Vol-) from my headset's inline cable when using this CS-Pro adapter. This is at the device level, it won't even change volume on the homescreen using the inline buttons, so it's not app related. And it happens with multiple Android-spec 3.5mm wired headsets (including Samsung's own) so it's not the headset itself. Running a key-button-event monitor shows nothing at all is reaching the OS when any of the three buttons are pressed.

The three buttons all work fine with this dongle on my other USB-C household devices, such as an older Galaxy A40, Galaxy A70 and an Asus tablet, so thinking my phone was faulty I popped into the local O2 phone dealership to see how this dongle worked with more recent phones. We tested the basic Vol+/Vol- buttons on the sales assistant's own Oppo phone and that was fine. We also tried every live Samsung phone on the store's display - an A14-5G, A34-5G, Z-Fold5, Z-Flip5, S23, S23+, S23-Ultra - and they all worked perfectly EXCEPT for their A54-5G.

So basically three-button headset controls with this dongle work fine on every phone in Samsung's range except for the A54. More recent stock firmware updates (currently running the 1st October patch update) have not helped.

With Teams and one or two accompanying apps open, turn Galaxy Z Fold5 counterclockwise so the fold is horizontal to ensure the camera will face you correctly. Then, tap the three center dots, and arrange your windows with your videoconference in the top portion of the screen (horizontally). Fold the device so it stands on its own, then position your camera. After joining your video call, you can continue to use your other selected app(s) in separate windows.

We are currently developing an Android app that is a fitness-tracker application. It runs constantly in the background, and it works fine on most devices, but we've been having issues with the application dying completely on some Samsung devices. After some investigation, it seems like some Samsung devices has a completely custom "App Optimisation" feature ( -galaxy-s6/599408-app-optimisation-after-updating.html), which is basically a (very) primitive version of the Doze feature that exists in later versions of Android which basically just murders apps if they haven't been used for three days.

The Samsung App Optimisation feature clearly states that it will "optimise" apps if they have not been used for three days. Does anyone have insight in what Samsung considers to be "used" and can I somehow trigger that?

There kinda is. There are a total of four settings, three of which are app-specific, and it is stored in a database (or some other form of data storage). These four settings can be used, although extremely shallow, to alter the behavior of the app optimization:

The first three options are on a per-app basis, which means each app can have separate settings. Disabling app optimization is exactly what you'd expect: it disables the entire feature for all apps. If it's disabled entirely, nothing is optimized.

SMARTWATCH PAIRING I've been with 3 for 10 years and want to add my Samsung smartwatch to my contract. 3 advertise smartwatch pairing for both apple and samsung smartwatches but I can't get the add-on. I get mix messages, the store I visited said 'yes' I should able to get it for 7/month but after they tried for an hour with customer service, customer service said they were having technical issues. (If 3 wants to get rid of you they always use the technical issue excuse I think its part of their training). I tried again over the phone and this time I was told I needed a brand new contract they couldn't just add it on to my current contract plus I'd be given a new phone number which I don't want. A new contract would also cost me more money than simply taking an add on to my existing contract. It seems pretty straight forward to me to just allow me to add smartwatch pairing onto my existing contract. It's really frustrating and I feel like taking my business elsewhere. Am I the only one who's having problems.

I know how to hook up the three prong, I'm just unsure about how to ground it properly. I've read online and saw a few posts here, but most point to the installation manual for the model as the best solution--which I've read, but I don't feel 100% that I understand. My manual has this configuration for a three-prong cord:

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 Is a multitasking powerhouse. Thanks to the Multi-Active Window feature, you can run two apps side by side (dragging and dropping content between them) or run up to three apps at once. And now the enhanced App Pair feature lets you create shortcuts for two apps later in the same way you had them open.

In everyday use the Galaxy Z Fold 3 provided swift performance, whether I was running three apps at once or racing around the track in Asphalt 9. However, I did notice some glitches at times, such as when going from the cover display to the main display. ff782bc1db
