I've always ignored the advice about watching my replays because I never knew how to actually learn from them. I decided to give it another try recently, but I just have no idea if I played well or not.

I've been watching coaching videos for months, trying to improve my macro. The problem is, I don't feel like anything changed. When I watch my replays, I have no idea what I did wrong or what I could've done better, except for obvious mistakes, such as flashing into a wall or going all in too soon. But those I knew already while playing, I didn't notice anything new while watching the replay.

Basically, every time I watch a replay I feel like if I played the same game again, I would've played it the same way. Most of the time I either still think what I did was correct or I just have no idea what I should have done. So far, none of the replays I watched helped me with anything, it was just a waste of time. Maybe I would see some mistakes if I watched a replay from months ago, but I didn't improve since a game I played a few hours ago, so how am I supposed to see any mistakes? I'm still the same player with the same skill, I can't coach myself. So what do I do then?

HI!

I have been reading episode for YEARSSS!!! and there are so many great stories out there! Stories i want to re-read. And that is exactly what i do. I re-read these stories and the i find myself at the point where i can no longer re-read as i have already re-read 5 times (which is the limit).

I really really REALLYYYY want a feature where we can we can have unlimited replays .

To each his own, but I enjoy watching replays of shots I miss more than ones I make, especially long putts. And absolutely no to automatic replays short of it being an option. It's not rocket science. I played 18 holes with my dad this evening. We watched replays of numerous shots. Once hitting the ball just press the button with the square on it prior to your turn ending to queue up the given replay. The option is called out right there in the center of the screen at the bottom once addressing the ball. Well, it is when you're playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 on the PS3 anyway.

Initially, I thought that there would be just a command list of every player/ai action that was taken in the game, and it then 're-plays' the game and lets the engine render as usual. However, I have looked at replays in FPS/RTS games, and upon careful inspection even things like the particles and graphical/audible glitches are consistent (and those glitches are generally inconsistent).

So How does this happen. In fixed camera angle games I though it might just write every frame of the whole scene to a stream that gets stored and then just replays the stream back, but that doesn't seem like enough for games that allow you to pause and move the camera around. You'd have to store the locations of everything in the scene at all points in time (No?). So for things like particles, that's a lot of data to push which seems like a significant draw on the game's performance whilst playing.

It depends on what you want to do. Sometimes storing events is better, because this takes usually much less memory. On the other side if you want to provide replays which can be played at different speeds and from different starting points, it is better to store states. When storing states you can also decide whether store them after every event or f.e. only 12 or 25 times per second -- this might reduce size of your replay and make it easier to rewind/fast forward them.

This will require replays to be watched sequentially, but that's pretty normal for game replays (see Starcraft 2). If you want to allow random-access to the timeline, you can take full state snapshots at set intervals (say every minute), to jumping around the timeline at a set granularity.

That's exactly What I thought at first when I was trying to figure out how did they make it so that the game replays always the same each time. With Doom I thought at how random the shoots went :D. Store any random number got used, I found out it could be a solution. That was before I came across a pdf paper about Crysis technology. Some textures noise there and grass or tree disposition, seemed to be using pseudorandomization with fixed reversible seed to make it so you didn't see altered disposition of noise, trees and grass anytime you look!

Replays are integrated with other parts of the Sentry product so you can see how the user experience is impacted by errors and slow transactions. You'll see replays associated with error events on the Issue Details page, and those associated with slow transactions on the Transaction Summary page. For backend error replays, any contributing backend errors will be included in the replay's timeline, breadcrumbs, and errors.

And I watch it "live" but start about an hour or so after race has started. Then I can fast forward through the talking, fluff and podium speeches and just watch the racing. You can even fast forward through commercials this way. I do this all on a fire TV, not my device. BUT, if I watch delayed the next morning (west coast rounds I can't stay up for) you CANNOT fast forward through commercials. Or if you do fast forward, when it stops it is automatically a commercial. But there also is not as many commercials on the replays I have watched.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. I was watching race day live, while is was still going on live, but I was watching it not live, about an hour delayed. When the live feed ended my delayed stream also stopped playing and said the program was no longer available. I went and found it on the replays and it is not available yet. I checked back several times, hours later, and it is still not available for replay. Using a 4 year old Samsung smart TV.

Hi @Stan

The animation works fine on my end if ALL triggers are ON too. No need to delete and re-assign the animation. The pre loading only replays if 1 or more of the triggers on the Hover-Wrapper are checked off. Capture18341002 81.8 KB
