Could you try a different resolution (settings->resolution), just for this scene? I think 720 should hopefully still fit on a chromebook screen. I have no idea why this would work, but apparently someone running windows32 who encountered the same problem managed to fix it this way. If not, I'll take a look at the logic and see if I can tighten it up in the evening!

Yes the game runs as well as any Ren'py game on my phone but for some reason it says that I do not have the Derek, Baxter, and wedding DLCs even though the files are in the "game" folder. I tried copying the DLC files into the itch.io version but the same thing happens. Only the Steps 1-3 and voice DLCs are being detected by the game, the others are not. Is there any way to fix this?

ok so you don't care at all about the users, that's disappointing to hear only just to save 5 seconds writing the script to zip builds separately, and itch.io has API to upload releases btw, so you could save even more time if you wanted, but i doubt you want, seems you are fine with bloatware (i wouldn't mind if it was 2x 250kb like tilekit i mentioned in other comment, but here it's electron.. but that itself is an other problem, let's stick to the 2x download size issue for now)
