When God made Adam and Eve, he made them with spiritual sight already perfect. Adam was then not stained with sin and its nature. His spiritual senses were at their peak. This was to enable him fully comprehend God's glory and to worship in spirit and in truth. Recovery of spiritual sight is very much a part of Jesus' ministry. We must fully embrace the Lord's ministry so that we are fully restored. Having been reconciled with God, we must take our seat in heavenly places. To do so we must be born again. Our spirits having been regenerated should not be left in the background but brought to the forefront of our worship. Our Salvation is not a mental or soulish revelation, it is spiritual. Our Faith requires the involvement of our spiritual nature (walking in the Spirit). I strongly agree with Michael that our spiritual engagement must be a full time thing. It has to be deliberate. We already have guidance in the scriptures. We however need obedience. Paul said he served the Lord with his spirit in the Gospel. There is a precedent that our service is very much a spiritual thing. God is Spirit and we must worship him in spirit and in truth to fully comprehend the gospel

We cannot and must not pursue the gifts as an end to themselves. No matter how good our reasons might be. Yes, I want to lay hands on the sick and see them healed. Yes I love to see and experience the miraculous things of God. And I love being in the spirit. And I love seeing angels. But all those things have to flow out of our relationship with Him.

It is crucial that you honor the little things, the little strides you make as you go along. You will then be in position to receive greater. As we begin to move into practical application, be very aware of every improvement, everything that your senses pick up helps you develop greater capacity.
