I have read many post regarding the ability to watch in-flight movies on Kindle Fire platforms. My Kindle was purchased in 2016. Is there an app (besides the SW app) that can be used to watch the in-flight movies?

IF any of your movies are Disney movies, or dreamworks and Pixar, you can download the Disney movies anywhere app, and there is an option to link your iTunes account to this, as well as your Amazon video, and a few others. Unfortunately it does not work for every kid movie, but at least a few will be on your kids Fire. I did this for my daughter. Hope it helps you too.

I have read about Kindle fire is sadly no good at all for overseas use. I am wondering though since you are able to use WiFi on the planes does it work on the airlines.. Flying Delta. I would like to be able to get email for a couple of hours.. going and coming.

Thank you all

I've taken my Kindle Fire on several European trips (Amsterdam, Bruges, Paris, Munich, Salzburg) and had no problems whatsoever using email. I've also purchased movies from amazon.com (Midnight in Paris!) with no problems. You will just need to connect to the local wifi and you'll be fine. I've never used it on the plane, as I'm usually watching the shows the airlines provides or sleeping!

Ever since I downloaded a couple of movies for a flight to LHR, then found out the two I had on my Kindle Fire were playing for free on the airplane I just watch the free stuff on the plane. As an aside, we once fell for the "Free" WiFi at a hotel in the UK only to find out that the WiFi company was named "Free WiFi" and it was NOT free at the hotel. Just another gotcha while traveling. It's just part of the adventure.

A Kindle is just a fancy Android tablet, and mine worked just fine in France and Switzerland. As noted, if you try and use Amazon Prime to watch TV shows while you're over there you will probably be geo-blocked. And perhaps movies too. So download what you need before you leave (books too) and then they'll be on the device and you won't need wifi.

Using the Disney Plus official app is indeed a great method to watch Disney Plus on Amazon Fire Tablet. However, it's essential to be aware of the Disney+ download restrictions within the app, which can affect your offline viewing experience. Notably, the videos you download on the Disney Plus app will expire 48 hours after you start watching them. And you need to maintain a subscription to watch your downloaded movies. To overcome such limits, continue reading to get solutions.

As mentioned above, your downloads through the Disney Plus app on Fire Tablet have a limited lifespan. Here, we provide a superior alternative--resort to MovPilot Disney Plus Video Downloader to download Disney Plus movies as MP4 files and then transfer them to your Amazon Fire Tablet for offline playback.

Step 4. Start Downloading Movies and Transfer Them to Amazon Fire Tablet

After all the settings, click on the Download icon to start downloading movies from Disney Plus to MP4 with the original subtitles and audio.

Then, connect your computer and tablet with a cable. Click the Finished tab and the Video Output Folder to open the folder where you save downloaded videos. Now, transfer the videos to your Amazon Fire Tablet for smooth offline watching.

In conclusion, to enjoy Disney Plus videos on your Amazon Fire Tablet, you can resort to the official app and download your favorite movies. If you are bothered by those download limits, we recommend you try the MovPilot Disney Plus Video Downloader. It offers more flexibility in downloading and transferring movies, helping you to save Disney+ videos as MP4 files. Just have a try!

Theoretically, the answer is not. As we all know, most iTunes movies, TV shows, music, and eBooks are all DRM protected by iTunes, so we can only play iTunes movies on Apple-authorized devices. What's more, the video formats of iTunes and Kindle Fire are not so compatible. Apple iTunes movies regularly are DRM-protected M4V. However, the Kindle Fire tablet only supports the common MP4 format.

Movies Anywhere is an app where you can see all your purchased and redeemed movies. And one important point is that it is available on Amazon Kindle Fire. You just need to create an account for Movies Anywhere and link your iTunes to it, then the eligible films will be automatically added to this app.

However, there are also some limitations you should pay attention to. Firstly, not all movies can be added to your movie collection. For example, movies from non-participating studios such as Paramount, Lionsgate, and MGM are not eligible and will not sync to your movie collection. Secondly, you can only use Movies Anywhere in the United States, instead of a worldwide range.

If you are subject to the deficiencies of method 1, you can then try the second solution. Just as we mentioned in the beginning, it is the DRM protection that barricades you from playing iTunes movies on Kinde Fire, so removing the DRM protection is also helpful, and this is what TuneFab M4V Converter can easily do.

Now that we know the powerful function of the TuneFab M4V Converter, the next question is how to operate it specifically. Here is the tutorial on how to convert iTunes movies to MP4 for Kindle Fire with this software.

After launching TuneFab M4V Converter, click the "Add Files" button in the top left corner, and then you can click the movies to select your movies to get ready to convert. What deserves mentioning is that you can add the whole playlist for batch conversion, so that the whole process will be efficient.

Connect your Kindle Fire to your computer using a USB cable. After the device is detected by your computer, create a folder on the directory and drag and drop the converted MP4 iTunes movies to it. Then you can enjoy the movies on your Kindle Fire.

Prime is the second major money maker here after the Kindle store. Amazon even throws in a one month free trial to Prime with the purchase of a Kindle Fire, just to make sure you know what you're missing if you decide to not get it. The biggest content pushed by Prime is Instant Video, basically Amazon's equivalent to Netflix. You can stream any of 10,000+ movies or TV shows instantly through Prime, or rent/purchase them for a cost. The streaming option is definitely nice, because you don't have to deal with downloading and storing the movies and running into issues with the limited amount of onboard NAND.

As such, the video library takes you directly to the storefront. At the top are the featured Prime Instant Videos; underneath that are the featured movies and TV shows available for purchase. The Prime Instant selection is good enough that you can get away without paying to download movies. You can save videos from Prime or the Video Store to the favorites list. The video playback controls are very simple, just play/pause, a time bar, a rewind by 10s button, and volume control.

The Kindle Fire is purpose-built to find and consume digital media: books, movies and TV shows, music, magazines, apps, and the web. It is more limited in its capabilities than an iPad, but in these areas it holds its own. Let me address each of these areas individually:

People are not going to buy the Kindle Fire because of any of its specs. They are going to buy it because it eases them into the still-strange realm of digital books, movies, magazines, and apps. These are all media. The Fire makes it easy to find them and, more importantly, easy to pay for them. You hardly think twice about it.

Movies Anywhereis your personal movie collection where you can see all of your purchased and redeemed movies. It is available on iOS, Apple TV, Amazon devices, Android, Chromecast, NVidia Shield TV, Roku, PC/Web. Create aMovies Anywhereaccount and link one or more Digital Retailer accounts (iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Xfinity, Google Play/YouTube, Microsoft, and FandangoNOW), the eligible movies in your individual Digital Retailer accounts will automatically be added to yourMovies Anywheremovie collection.

1. Movies Anywhere features a wide range of films from Disney, Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp., Universal and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. At this time, movies from non-participating studiossuch as Paramount, Lionsgate, and MGMare not eligible and will not migrate to your movie collection.

Step 3 After the conversion, you are able to locate all converted movies by clicking the folder icon. You are able to connect your Fire 7 tablet and your computer via USB, then transfer converted videos to Fire 7 tablet. Then, you can enjoy your iTunes movies on Fire 7 tablet freely. You may find all movies remain AC3 Dolby 5.1 Audio, AD, Audio Tracks, Subtitles and Closed Captions with 100% original quality.

Of course, there are some limitations to downloading Prime episodes on your tablet. For one, not every Prime title can be downloaded. Only certain Prime titles are available to download automatically, which means some movies or shows may not display the Download icon.

Dubbed Movies Anywhere, and based on the original Disney Movies Anywhere platform the media giant has been using for years, the service allows you to sync your library between Amazon, Google, Apple, and Vudu to keep all your movies together in a digital locker that is shared between platforms. So long as your film collection is made up of movies from partnered studios (which includes every big name outside of Paramount, who are considering joining the platform), signing up for a Movies Anywhere account will allow your films to sync between devices. 0852c4b9a8
