The third and final international day started with a with a Kahoot quiz about the content of the former project days and about sustainability.
The students had to think about the mechanisms in the water, about how they can make their houses sustainable, how they can communicate using for example a light, cooking with seaweed to survive, using sustainable energy: water, wind, sun…
They had to improve their houses, e.g. to make a solar power system, windmill, watermill, wave generator ...
The students also desalinated water.
Process: Discover, Develop, Deliver
Discover
Next we made a Kahoot with questions about the content of the former project days as a repetition as well as questions about sustainability. We also added questions about key words in the different languages (Norwegian, Danish, Dutch and English). In Denmark we gave all the children Sedweed crisp to taste.
Develop
Finishing the work on the eBooks and the buildings.
Activity: The students continued working on and developing their houses to make them sustainable. Some of the groups finished early, so they got the opportunity to build more buildings which was needed in the city.
Activity: Finishing the eBook in Book Creator. The students presented their houses in the book and made the final adjustments.
Deliver
At first the students presented their houses and buildings to the rest of the class. They explained how the house is going to stay on water, how to get electricity and other thoughts they had about how they have made the house and life in the house sustainable. We put all the houses and building together as a city and made a time lapse/stop motion movie while building the city.
International collaboration
We had skype sessions. We sat up tweetbeams in all the countries. In the kahoots we had questions, pictures and movies from the other countries and also about sustainability.
