Montaraz ham has only two ingredients: ham and sea salt. None of the chemical agents found in other brands are used in the curing process of the our hams. This owed to the 125 years experience of the makers of this delicacy in the art of curing the best ibérico hams and also to the ideal natural environment of the "Dehesas" in Extremadura.
Well-known worldwide for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and unique nutty flavour, it's one of the most coveted and exquisite cured hams.
Its fat is made up of more than 50% of the healthy kind, that is, unsaturated fats like olive oil. Eating Ibérico de Bellota ham, in moderation, can actually help reduce the level of bad cholesterol while increasing the level of the good stuff (HDL).
