This contains all the prompts from previous years of AUctober Fest, and can be claimed for any future event. If you're keen to get ahead on writing for the next fest, claiming a past prompt may be the thing for you! All original prompter's names have been removed for privacy.
Prompts have been roughly divided up into four categories:
Hogwarts Based: For when the prompt indicates the fic would have something to do with Hogwarts, ie. Teacher!Harry, or same age teen AU.
Non-Hogwarts Based: This is the default category, for any prompts that don't fit any of the other categories.
Muggle AU: For any prompts that seem to indicate Muggle AU.
TV, Book, Movie, Game, etc.: For AU prompts that call for an AU based on, inspired by, or in the universe of an existing non-Harry Potter media.
Any fic output does not have to remain in the category the prompt has been placed in! For example, a Hogwarts-based AU prompt could end in a non-magic fic if you like.
We have also introduced wild-card prompts that are open-ended prompts for these four categories. Feel free to claim one of these if you find nothing else that takes your fancy!
