Faculty are strongly encouraged to post the course survey links to CANVAS so you can also find the link there. Survey links are specific to each course, not each individual student. If you have checked all options, please email SPOT (spot@unt.edu) with your student ID, course number and course section in order for us to assist you.

Yes; a confirmation email is automatically sent to the same email address where the survey link was sent. Confirmation emails cannot be resent, and they are only sent to the students, not the instructors. Once again, instructors do not have access to view which students completed the course survey, only the overall response rate for the course.

Educators must work to recognize concerns that may have gone unidentified and to prioritize which newfound parental concerns are the most urgent. Many will do so with less data from classroom assessments and statewide exams than they would have in a typical year. And they will tackle those needs as they also strain to accommodate heightened social and emotional stress for all students after an unprecedented set of school years.

The NASP and other organizations that advocate for students with disabilities have recommended that schools use federal COVID-19 relief aid provided through the American Rescue Plan to reengage all students through multitiered systems of support, through which educators use a leveled approach to provide increasingly intense help to students with academic or behavioral difficulties.

If students respond well to the lower level of support, that means they may have just needed some help reenaging after an atypical school year, psychologists said. But if they struggle even as they advance up the tiers, they may need to be evaluated for special education services.

After some discussion with the school, Lauren opted not to evaluate her other son right away. Instead, she will watch his progress as he participates in the same small groups and academic enrichment programs his school plans to offer all of its students as it focuses on pandemic recovery.

As Congress deliberated its first relief bill, the CARES Act, school district administrators pushed for waivers from some parts of IDEA, including timelines in the federal special education law that require evaluations to be completed within 60 days of a formal request. They cited an inability to do things like conduct assessments or provide supportive therapies for students learning in remote environments.

SPOTS (Sun Protection Outreach Teaching by Students) is a community outreach program designed to teach students from preschool through high school about the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer. Medical students visit local schools to instruct students about sun safe habits, avoiding artificial tanning beds, and skin self-exams.

The colleges listed on your GEORGIA MATCH letter and your GAfutures Student Dashboard are an academic match based on your HOPE GPA and they are holding a spot for you in their Fall 2024 Class. We created a way for you to request information from your GEORGIA MATCH colleges and claim your spot for admission to the GEORGIA MATCH college of your choice.

No, GEORGIA MATCH looks to see if you meet the initial eligibility for admission at USG Colleges and Universities. Upon completion of the full application, submission of your high school transcript, and test scores (if required) the USG College or University will review the submitted information to ensure you have met the Required High School Curriculum (including Foreign Language) and standardized test scores if needed. Participating GEORGIA MATCH Institutions will make every effort to allow students to make up missing requirements.

Use the Student Dashboard link above (you will be prompted to sign into your GAfutures account if you have not done so). Your Student Dashboard will list all the colleges for which you are eligible for provisional admission with GEORGIA MATCH. Select the colleges you want to request more information. Once you have found the right college or university, claim your spot.

Most students do not know exactly what they want to study in college. In many ways, college is there for you to figure out what interests you the most and what you can do for your career.
