GOAL

• Continue practicing "walking together", refining our communication — both in the clarity of my requests and in how I perceive their responses. Also, observe how this influences their attention and engagement.

OBJETIVO

• Seguir practicando el "caminar juntos", afinando la comunicación: tanto en la claridad de mis pedidos como en la percepción de sus respuestas. Observar también cómo eso influye en su atención y en la disposición con la que responden.

LESSON

• Perhaps Mary, without the strong presence of Inca, felt more freedom to express herself and try something new with me. The absence of the leader may have opened an emotional window in which Mary felt freer to act from her own impulse. It’s also possible that she sensed I was emotionally available in a way she needed to experience—especially on that day, when the entire group seemed to be in a more vulnerable state.

• I was surprised to observe Inca’s presence as she quietly accompanied Alma, Vida, and Amir from a distance. Although Amir appeared somewhat dominant and protective of Alma and Vida, Inca was there—calm, present, attentive, available, and determined to stay with them.

APRENDIZAJE

• Tal vez Mary, sin la figura fuerte de Inca, sintió más libertad para expresarse y probar algo nuevo conmigo. La ausencia de la líder pudo haber abierto una ventana emocional en la que Mary se sintió más libre de actuar desde su impulso propio. Además, es posible que percibiera que yo estaba emocionalmente disponible de una manera que ella necesitaba experimentar, especialmente ese día, en que el grupo entero parecía estar en un estado más vulnerable.

• Me sorprendió observar la presencia de Inca acompañando de lejos a Alma, Vida y Amir. Aunque Amir se mostraba algo dominante y protector de Alma y Vida, Inca estaba ahí: calma, presente, atenta, disponible y determinada en quedarse con ellos.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

• That day, I felt the herd was a bit vulnerable without the presence of Inca, their leader. They seemed to be seeking closeness and holding space for each other during a time of transition. Flash appeared to be stepping into a more prominent role, which might explain why he didn’t want to connect with me—he didn’t respond to my invitations and moved away several times when I approached.

• Despite that, there were two moments of genuine connection. It was the first time Mary came to greet me and allowed me to touch her. We shared a special and peaceful moment together until Flash moved her away.
  Later on, I found myself standing among all the horses, gently caressing them one after the other. There was a shared sense of trust, calm, and mutual presence that made that moment truly meaningful.

• I had an interesting moment with Flash. Since he wasn’t following me, I suddenly decided to mirror his steps. I think he noticed at some point—it was curious—but he still chose not to engage.

DESTACADOS DE LA EXPERIENCIA

• Ese día sentí que el grupo estaba un poco vulnerable sin la presencia de Inca, su líder. La manada parecía estar buscando mantenerse unida, conteniéndose mutuamente en un momento de transición. Flash parecía querer tomar protagonismo, lo cual podría explicar por qué no quiso conectar conmigo: no respondió a mis invitaciones y se alejó en varios momentos cuando me acerqué.

• A pesar de eso, hubo dos momentos de conexión verdadera. Fue la primera vez que Mary vino a saludarme y me permitió tocarla. Compartimos un momento especial y tranquilo hasta que Flash la movió. Luego, en un momento, me encontré entre todos los caballos, y pude hacerles caricias simultaneamente, en un clima de confianza, calma y presencia mutua. 

• Tuve un momento interesante con Flash. Como no me seguía, de repente decidí imitar sus pasos. Creo que en algún momento lo notó —fue curioso—, pero igual eligió no involucrarse.
