LESSON

• I was surprised that Inca came toward me with such determination after I invited her with determination, because although her approach was calm, I didn’t expect it to be so direct. In a way, it caught me off guard, and perhaps my energy shifted when she got so close.

APRENDIZAJE

• Me sorprendió que Inca viniera hacia mí con tanta determinación después de que la invité con determinación, porque aunque su acercamiento era tranquilo, no esperaba que fuera tan directo. De alguna manera, me tomó desprevenida, y tal vez mi energía cambió cuando se acercó tanto.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

• There was a moment when Inca began to approach from a distance, with determination, driven by a clear and decisive invitation from my side. She took several slow steps without interruption. I just watched how her large body moved, without moving myself until then. When she was just a few steps away, I surprised myself thinking: What am I going to do when she gets to me? And it was just then that she stopped. Something changed. I also took a couple of steps back. In the end, she didn’t come toward me. She simply passed by. I invited others from the group, but none came. Mary did a couple of 'from's, and they all followed the leader, who didn’t stop with me.

• I’ve noticed that they’re making a new signal that I still don’t quite understand. They look at me and raise their chin up and down, moving their head, usually a couple of times. The way I read it is: 'What’s up with you? What are you doing here?' Or it could also be something like: 'Sorry, I see you, but I can’t go there, I have to follow the herd.

DESTACADOS DE LA EXPERIENCIA

• Hubo un momento en que Inca comenzó a acercarse desde lejos, con decisión, impulsada por una invitación clara y decidida de mi parte. Fueron varios pasos lentos, sin interrupción. Yo solo miraba cómo se movía su cuerpo grande, sin moverme hasta entonces. Cuando estaba a pocos pasos, me sorprendí pensando: ¿Qué voy a hacer cuando llegue hasta mí? Y fue justo entonces cuando se detuvo. Algo cambió. Yo también di un par de pasos hacia atrás. Al final, ella no vino hacia mí. Simplemente siguió de largo. Invité a otros del grupo, pero ninguno vino. Mary hizo un par de 'from', y todos siguieron a la líder, que no se detuvo conmigo.

• He notado que están haciendo una nueva señal que aún no logro entender. Me miran y elevan el mentón hacia arriba y hacia abajo, moviendo la cabeza, generalmente un par de veces. La forma en que lo leo es: '¿Y tú qué onda? ¿Qué haces aquí?'. O también podría ser algo como: 'Lo siento, te veo, pero no puedo ir allí, tengo que seguir la manada.'
