The most interesting part was Luna’s reception that day, considering that she is normally very reserved and not very expressive. I loved it.
Me encantó.
That day, I first stopped by to say hello to the foams, Vida and Wakan, who were by the fence. It was fun saying hello to them and practicing “waiting” with them when they tried to stretch their necks toward me. We stayed there for a little while like that, and also connected for a bit.
Then Luna was nearby, so I went to say hello to her. To my surprise, and for the first time, Luna made that “rrrrrr” sound that I like, the one she makes when she sees food. But I didn’t have any food with me, and that day she even smelled my clothes, which she normally doesn’t do. I stayed with her for a little while and felt very happy about how she received me.
Then I went to see the herd, and while I was walking toward Mary, a Southern lapwing flew toward me, and I think it tried to peck me to make me leave the area, but it didn’t quite reach me. I changed direction and decided to say hello to Mary later, when she came walking toward me.
Then I said hello to Frea and Flash, but Amir didn’t want my greeting. Afterwards, I stood among them, and Frea came to eat near me. I stayed there with her for a little while, and it felt really nice to have her close.
