LESSON

• I don't know what happened that day that made the horses so close to me. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the previous session and the fact that I responded to Frea's request to move, if it had to do with the rain that was coming and their sensitivity to it, or if it was something else. Either way, it was a great opportunity to practice finding the entry point to connection with them within a very short window.

APRENDIZAJE

• No sé qué pasó ese día para que los caballos estuvieran tan cerca de mí. No estoy segura de si tuvo algo que ver con la sesión anterior y con el hecho de que respondí al pedido de Frea de moverme, si tuvo que ver con la lluvia que se acercaba y su sensibilidad hacia ella, o si fue por alguna otra razón. De cualquier manera, fue una gran oportunidad para practicar encontrar el punto de entrada a la conexión con ellos en una ventana de tiempo muy corta.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

• That day I first went to greet the mothers and their foams, and only Vida was available. I first went to Inca, but she moved away. Then, when I was going to greet Alma, she made some "froms," so I preferred not to approach her, nor Wakan, who was standing behind her. Then I approached Vida, who had been standing alone by the fence since I arrived, as if she was available. And I stayed there with her for a little while.

• Then I went to see the herd. On one side, Frea was resting, but she made one of those "ririri" sounds that I like, and the other horses had their ears pointed toward me. As I walked toward them, I told them, "No, no. I don't have any food for you." Then I chose a place to enter the paddock and went past some of them, greeting Amir, Mary, and Luna, before going straight to sit on the tree trunk. To my surprise, Amir came first, but I asked him not to approach by using the reed. It took him some time to read my request, but in the end he accepted it and left. I noticed afterward that I had not looked him in the eyes. After that, Luna came. It was a lovely surprise, since she normally doesn't approach so easily. I let her come, and we stayed there together for a while, and she was very curious, smelling me and exploring. I tried to find some entry points of connection with her, and that was something I practiced. Then, instead of asking her to leave, since she is a little shy, I took a step backward, and that's when she left. Then I sat down again, and immediately Flash came, who also wanted to connect with me. Flash and I stayed there for quite a while, connecting, and I also practiced finding his entry point of connection. Those encounters were very beautiful. Finally, before leaving, I went to greet Frea, just with a quick hello, and I left a little earlier that day.

DESTACADOS DE LA EXPERIENCIA

• Ese día pasé a saludar primero a las mamás y sus crías, y solo Vida estaba disponible. Fui primero donde Inca, pero ella se alejó. Luego, cuando iba a saludar a Alma, ella hizo unos "froms" y preferí no acercarme, tampoco a Wakan, que estaba detrás de ella. Entonces me acerqué a Vida, que desde que llegué estaba solita en la cerca, como si estuviera disponible. Y estuve ahí un ratito con ella.

• Luego fui a ver a la manada. De un lado, Frea estaba en posición de descanso, pero hizo uno de esos "ririri" que me gustan, y los otros caballos tenían sus orejas puestas en mí. Mientras caminaba hacia ellos les decía: "No, no. No les tengo comida". Entonces elegí un lugar para entrar al corral y pasé por algunos de ellos saludándolos: Amir, Mary, Luna, y fui directo a sentarme en el tronco del árbol. Para mi sorpresa, primero vino Amir, pero le pedí que no se acercara usando el bastón. A él le tomó un tiempo leer mi pedido, pero al final lo aceptó y se fue. Noté después que no lo había mirado a los ojos. Luego de eso, vino Luna. Fue una linda sorpresa, pues normalmente ella no se acerca tan fácilmente. La dejé venir y estuvimos ahí un rato juntas, y ella estaba muy exploradora, oliéndome. Intenté encontrar algunos puntos de entrada con ella y eso estuve practicando. Luego, en vez de pedirle que se fuera, pues ella es un poco tímida, yo di un paso hacia atrás y ahí ella se fue. Luego volví a sentarme y de inmediato vino Flash, que también quería conectar conmigo. Con Flash nos quedamos harto rato ahí, conectándonos, y también practiqué con él encontrar su punto de entrada. Fueron muy lindos esos encuentros. Por último, antes de irme, pasé a saludar a Frea, solo con un hola rápido, y me fui más temprano ese día.
