LESSON

• One thing caught my attention: the week before, I had given carrots to Amir and Flash from the fence while I was outside the field. I wondered how they would react to my presence when I entered the field, but they did not come toward me looking for carrots, as I thought might happen. It was interesting to notice that. This made me think that they did not associate my arrival with food, which does not mean that they did not remember the carrots. Also, it had been some time since I had been with them, and I felt a warm and calm reception.

APRENDIZAJE

• Una cosa me llamó la atención: la semana anterior había dado zanahorias a Amir y Flash desde la cerca, estando afuera del campo. Me preguntaba cómo iban a reaccionar a mi presencia cuando entrara al campo, pero no vinieron hacia mí a buscar zanahorias, como pensé que podía pasar. Fue interesante notar eso. Esto me hizo pensar que no asociaron mi llegada con la comida, lo que no significa que no recordaran las zanahorias. Además, hacía un tiempo que no estaba con ellos y sentí una recepción cálida y tranquila. 

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

• That day, the horses were calm with my presence. I approached all of them to greet them, and at first only Luna did not respond. But after a second attempt, she responded. They all seemed relaxed.

• I sat on the ground and stayed there for a while, simply observing them. I felt happy whenever one of them turned in my direction and pointed their ears toward me. They did not come closer; they mostly stayed eating, each one doing their own thing.

• Later, I decided to stand up and approach them. At some point, Mary showed that she was uncomfortable with a strong "from" and I decided to bring that day to an end.

DESTACADOS DE LA EXPERIENCIA

• Ese día los caballos estaban tranquilos con mi presencia. Me acerqué a todos para saludarlos y, al principio, solamente Luna no respondió. Pero luego de un segundo intento, respondió. Ellos parecían estar tranquilos.

• Me senté en el suelo y me quedé un rato ahí, simplemente observándolos. Me alegraba cuando alguno se giraba en mi dirección y orientaba sus orejas hacia mí. No se acercaron; se quedaron más bien comiendo, cada uno en lo suyo.

• Más tarde, decidí pararme y acercarme a ellos. En algún momento, Mary demostró estar incómoda con un "from" fuerte y decidí dar por terminado ese día.
