The “frons” that day caught my attention, but I did not fully understand their meaning. I wondered whether they might be related to my close presence within the group, although they could also be something else.

Me llamaron la atención los “frons” de ese día, pero no entendí del todo su significado. Me pregunté si podían estar relacionados con mi presencia cercana dentro del grupo, aunque también podría tratarse de otra cosa.

When I arrived, the horses were going out to drink water in another area further inside, and they did not come over to greet me. I waited for them to return; in the meantime, I stayed close to the other horses on the other side of the fence, who were in their resting time.
That day, Frea was also with the herd. When they came back from the water, I was sitting on the ground, but they did not approach me and continued doing their own things. After a while, I went toward them, and Mary and Luna were practically paying attention to me. The others did not really want to greet me, and in general I heard many “frons” from everyone, which I thought might be related to my presence. But no one tested me or pushed me out of the field. They were calm. At one point, I connected with Luna for a little while.
Later, I went to look at the mares and foals that were in the alfalfa pasture. I did not go in there; I stayed with Alma at the gate, and we spent some time together there before I left. From a distance, I saw Inca and Wakan resting together. Vida did not appear in my field of vision.

Cuando llegué, los caballos estaban saliendo a tomar agua en otro lugar que queda más adentro, y no vinieron a saludarme. Esperé a que volvieran; mientras tanto, me quedé acompañando a los otros caballos del otro lado de la cerca, que estaban en su hora de reposo.
Ese día, Frea estaba junto a la manada también. Cuando volvieron del agua, yo estaba sentada en el suelo, pero ellos no se acercaron y siguieron en lo suyo. Después de un rato, fui hacia ellos y, prácticamente, Mary y Luna me estaban prestando atención. Los otros no querían saludarme mucho y, de forma general, escuché muchos “frons” de todos, lo que pensé que podía estar relacionado con mi presencia. Pero tampoco nadie me testeó ni me expulsó del campo. Estaban tranquilos. En un momento me conecté con Luna por un ratito.
Más tarde fui a mirar a las mamás y las crías que estaban en el pasto de la alfalfa. Ahí no llegué a entrar, solo estuve con Alma en el portón; estuvimos un rato juntas ahí y después me fui. De lejos vi a Inca con Wakan juntas descansando. Vida no apareció en mi campo de visión.
